"...Maybe don't insult the guy who could summon up a million different things to make this a near impossible Mario Maker level?" Zelda ended up saying, sort of ignoring the stupidity that was Danni and Dorian. Their ideas were a bit too convoluted to her completely, and she looked over at her sister with a bit of an eye roll, asking who all played the game. "...Um... Me? You know your geek sister whose here too?" she said towards her, before looking at the situation ahead of them.

Trying to make stairs or something was an idea, however Zelda was hesitant to try and make anything. Partially because it ran the risk of messing with the code, and knowing her luck would result in destroying something instead of creating something. However the comments about the pipes caused her to shake her head. "...You're only half right about the shortcuts, you aren't exactly saying what happens about them. No, the pipes are more than just shortcuts. The first one on the first level of the world, yes, that is a shortcut, that has no danger though and literally will eventually drop you right by the flag. However if you get to level two in the world, that has a hidden set of pipes, and can jump you to world 4, then the set hidden on world 4 level 2 can take you all the way to world 8... So you could get by with only doing 6 levels out of like, 32 that way, which is why speedruns of the game typically run under 5 minutes for the best players. Of course that's if he'd not just going to have us play the game in it's entirety and not just jump us to King Koopa... Also known as Bowser now a days. You want to be morbid don't hit any brick blocks or rocks or whatever. Pretty sure question mark blocks are okay though, but yeah, the instruction manual of the game implies that the reason you don't see any Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants is because they got turned into bricks and stones and I think plants or whatever. So people seem to have the theory that you might be accidentally killing them or something like that. It's really weird. But the shortcuts aren't bad, despite what you seem to think," she didn't really like talking a whole lot for the most part, and was keeping her voice somewhat quieter and not shouting over everyone, however she really wanted to correct the seemingly misinformation being handed out how the shortcuts are bad and dangerous or something.

Mira was sort of just off by herself at the moment. She currently was a bit bored at the moment, and was just playing a video game on her computer, when she heard a voice calling out the same sort of thing she was thinking as they were wandering or something like that. The voice was pretty loud,, and it took a second for her to recognize it as the voice of Perry. It was a bit of a random thing, but after a few moments, she had turned off her game, and gotten up, heading out into the hall to see what was going on.

She eventually came across Perry, and saw that she wasn't the only one who had decided to see what the noise was about or something, because Jaclyn and Max were both there too. "Well if you're bored pretty sure something can be come up with, can't be that hard to come up with something considering we have four people standing here now. I'd suggest a board game or something since we'd have enough players but I kind of got turned off of board games last year," Mira said with a slight smile, looking at the other three.

For the past week or so Lance had been really really worried about Guin, but those initial few days after the whole incident, weren't exactly too great for him either. With her relapsing, he really had flashbacks to back during their teen years, and those specific ones were not great memories. Actually it also then jolted a few memories of seeing a version of himself from that alternate reality, one where his counterpart was fairly dependent on drugs and things like that. Those were not things he wanted to think about, so initially afterward, he'd kind of stayed back and let Pietro help Guin out, but after a few days things more or less got better with that, and he got his thoughts back on track, so he was kind of keeping an eye on her too now when Pietro wasn't around or something.

He found himself walking into the kitchen, and noticed Bethany there now, so he walked over to her. "Hey there, how are you?" he asked her, as he went to the fridge and pulled a soda out and opened the can up. Things seemed to be calmer at the mansion right now. He partially was expecting something horrible to happen in the next five minutes or something. That just tended to be how their lives were, but he was kind of glad for the break.

"Yes, I can, I 'ave dahne it befahre," she responded simply to Demetri, referring to the last time she had done it while on a quest with Zeke and Kristin before. It wasn't anything too fancy or difficult, honestly it also wasn't exactly that impressive of a thought. It was just called using a brain, and Demetri had still yet to prove that he had one at all. Reminded her of what the Scarecrow had said in the Wizard of Oz "Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking."

Of course chaos started continuing to erupt as the giant or whatever it was started attacking. Not like she could actively tell what was going on, only she could tell from the sound cues around her. However Kristin told her to still get the info from Leandra's head, and that was something that she more then happily would do. She managed to find where Leandra was and put her to sleep with her powers, before mentally using her abilities to dive into her head to see what sort of things appeared in her dream world.

She saw a few different scenes that played out as she watched, leaning back and seeing what was going on. The first thing that popped up was seeing how Leandra had managed to escape the camp, getting a follower of her to help her and sneaking out of the camp. That was a big thing. At least that explained how she got there more or less. The next thing though was a vision she wasn't entirely sure how it popped up from Leandra's head, but it stood out to her as well.

Them down in Tartarus by a shrine to Hermes.

At least she was fairly certain that was what it was, she had no way to know for certain, but it definitely seemed to fit the description of a shrine, and it seemed to be one for Hermes, which was not one that she would have expected but okay? It was a bit of an odd vision, and Janelle eventually got out of Leandra's head and wasn't sure if now was the time to explain what she saw, or not.

"Do you want to know now what I gaht frahm 'er 'ead, ahr would you prefer waitin until de fight is over?" she ended up asking, trying her best to stay out of the way of the fighting that was going on currently.

Zelda wasn't sure what to think, until she heard a very familiar sound playing through the area and she looked up. Super Mario? They were literally in Super Mario? Honestly despite it being a much older game, she did enjoy it. She tended to play games from that era anyway on occasion. She was named after a video game character, specifically from an older game in that series too. So it was actually kind of nice to be in a familiar area, even though it was added onto by Ed saying that they could actually die. Seemed like someone was a big fan of SAO or something at this rate. That's when Zelda noticed the outfit she was wearing, while it was the yellow and orange of Princess Daisy (complete with the crown) it actually was a shorts and tank top outfit, looked like it was more of the outfit that Daisy wore in the sports spinoff titles of the game. Well she was glad she wasn't in a dress, considering what it was she was immediately aiming for.

Looking around, she obviously saw the Goombas heading their way, and Zelda looked up above them, right where she knew they would be, the line of blocks up above that everyone seemed to have ignored. One of the blocks was one in particular she was aiming for, one that had a question mark on it's sides. "There's more to this game then just stomping on Goombas," she ended up saying, before taking off forward, heading straight for the block. She jumped up and punch the block with her hand, before whirling around and catching the power up mushroom that emerged from the block. There was the typical power up sound effect for the game (even though it was the simplest one) as she ended up growing a bit in size so she was taller now then everyone else. Before she immediately went forward and jumped onto the nearest Goomba, stomping it down and destroying it. "Power ups are a thing, first level in the game always has a mushroom in the first block you come across, it's pretty much a given with the Mario games, specifically the side scroller ones, not the more 3D environment ones specifically... Mushrooms make it so it takes a little more to kill you essentially, so that was the reason I went for that first before stomping on a Goomba," she explained simply.

Hey, I know you probably don't expect to hear from me this way. Not when usually I can call or something like that, but I don't know how long this will work out. I don't even really know if you'll get this to begin with. But this way, by snail mail seemed like the safest option.

I need help, and I don't know what to do.

Something is seriously wrong, and I don't really have time to explain it now. I need you here, maybe call some of the others I don't know. Just get here fast. I don't think this is going to end well. Or if I can hold on for much longer.

Hurry!

A lot had happened in the past month. Nothing is ever so simple or quiet at the mansion really, but considering how many people they had with them who were all left stranded from the asteroid blowing up, that resulted in a bit of a scramble to try and help them all get back on their feet and space for them all to stay. The mansion was crowded for a few weeks, before slowly but surely everyone started to leave and head off in their own directions.

Magneto actually stuck around for a little while in order to aid in this, but as soon as the last people were away from the mansion. He too departed. Eventually it was just the normal students at the school along with the team, though some students were already heading out for the summer, so the school wasn't as crowded as it usually was.

Mary tended to head off different places, but she didn't seem to have any issues or anything. She'd head off places randomly, spending sometimes spending a few days away at a time. Usually any questions about where she was heading off to she brushed off and said she sometimes just needed to really get away from the place. Actually she currently wasn't at the mansion, and the last time someone saw her around was about two days ago, so who knew really where she was or what she was doing at this point.

Pietro was sort of constantly hovering around Guin, incredibly worried about her because of about a little over a week ago things weren't going tooo great for her and a slight incident happened, and now he was making sure more or less that she wasn't really left alone all too much. So that was something to say the least. It probably would get a little annoying, but at least for now he was sticking close by.

Things were fairly calm at the moment though, no more issues running around rampant, nothing blowing up or anything going wrong. Nothing. It was actually a fairly calm time, so people could go off and about doing whatever it was that they wanted to do around the mansion or its grounds. It actually wasn't a super bad day or time in general, of course with the lives they live, things could go horribly wrong at any moment, but that's just a given.

As of right now, everything seems to be alright.

Zelda was still not sure about this whole situation, but she followed along with everyone else to where everything was setup with the Framework. She found the idea of the Framework a little weird, but also kind of interesting to say the least, the idea of basically being able to go into a virtual world and being able to wander around that way. It basically was a really big virtual reality video game, so that was something she was more or less excited about. But also the idea of training that way was not something she was super sure of. Since it made it too much like real life, that was the reason she liked video games, they were an escape from everything.

Seeing everyone else already getting into the tanks to hook into the Framework, and she basically got ready before getting into the thing. This was still a weird feeling to her, and she closed her eyes. After a few moments, she opened them again and she woke up in the Framework, seeing the others popping up nearby in the contest arena. Zelda wasn't sure what they were supposed to do now though, since this didn't fully make too much sense to her on what to do now.

"I will don't worry. But hey, who knows, if people want more of a challenge maybe I can trigger something interesting to happen in the arena for practice," Zari responded to Andy giggling still at the idea. She knew she had to stop herself from causing too many issues in the Framework, but if anyone wanted more fun or a bigger challenge, then she would happily oblige and give them something more interesting to say the least. That would be entirely up to everyone else though.

She got ready to go into the Framework again, climbing into the tank as she went. Zari waved slightly at Andy as she had climbed into her own tank to go in. Diving in, she closed her eyes, waiting to load into the Framework to be able to mess around in that virtual world again. Except that isn't what happened. No, Zari's eyes did not open up or anything like that, at least not in the virtual world.

Unlike everyone else, she didn't wake up in the Framework. And wasn't there at all.

Zelda was still not entirely too sure what to even do at this point. This whole contest thing was insanely weird and she didn't very much like the idea of it. To her it just seemed like it was kind of stupid, but that was just her opinion on it. Going into a weird training program or something in order to practice and train for it? That also struck her as weird. Yet here she was, going to see about doing that since the rest of her team wanted to do it.

"I mean I guess, this still seems odd to me..." she muttered, all ready to go despite very much not fully wanting to. Seeing Diana head out, Zelda let out a slight sigh and followed along after her. She wasn't even sure this would even be worthwhile, since odds were, they still were going to lose the contest. So why go out of their ways to actually be more of a spectacle to people and screw up and lose in front of other people? Oh well, she was here now, might as well hurry to the gym and join everyone else.

Zari was super excited to get into the Framework again! Of course, she'd keep an eye on what she was doing this time, last time was more of her seeing about how much she could actually accomplish and get away with. This time she should probably keep things a bit more realistic, even though that was truly the first time she actually felt like a half-Asgardian. Since there she literally was a god and could accomplish anything that she wanted as long as she thought it. A technopath was very dangerous in that sort of situation.

She was all set to go, and she skipped along down the hall and to the gym where everything was setup. The instant she was in the room, she went right over to Andy, "Hiya Andy, ready to see what's in store for us? Cause let me say, I'm going to probably end up holding back a bit so it's more fair. Since as previously pointed out, I tend to actually be fairly powerful in the Framework, all of that code and all just waiting to be messed with. I kept glitching the system. But since that is a situation that likely will never easily repeat itself. I'm probably not going to do that," Zari said with a smile, rambling a bit as she spoke.

Klara, Daughter of Thor

Klara was super happy to hear Runa was going to help them, and she recited the words to repair the veil the rest of the way. She followed along after the others now as they were all heading to deal with the chaos going on outside currently. Klara had no idea what all was going on, the main thing that she saw was a bunch of demons, attack and causing chaos. This obviously meant that she needed to try and kill some of the demons, as many as possible. And Klara wasted no time in drawing her sword from it's sheath with a bit of a smile.

"This is going to be a lot of fun," she said as her eyes started to glow pink.

A swirl of pink hearts started to swirl around her, and she instantly flung her free hand outwards, the hearts flying forward in a chain of pink hearts, as they started to shoot between different demons. Flying with such speed that it started to go straight through the demons that it hit, killing them and dropping them to the ground. The chain weaving in and out of the demon hoard as it was starting to take them out. Without missing a beat, she instantly whirled with her sword, cutting down more demons as she went along. It was hard to keep track of how many demons she cut down, but it definitely was a pretty surprising chunk of them. Nothing was better then getting to cut down mobs of something that was trying to kill you.

They were out of time, Bethany wasn't able to get the remaining people with her own shadow travel powers, and there wasn't any more time to get anyone else. Mary stepped off the Blackbird, and looked at those still around before fire started swirling and it went right through the walls, seemingly, but that was about it. There was a loud explosion that shook everything, and the entire hanger around them started to rumble and shake. There were a few windows of sorts in the hanger, so they would all be able to see what was going on outside, at least a little bit.

They'd be able to see metal getting flung off and away, mixtures of that along with every so often fire bursting past. Somehow, by some miracle. They're little life boat was seemingly able to hold together. Putting people on the Blackbird had mainly been in the event that the hanger completely was obliterated, but given the fact that they were somehow managing to keep it together was a miracle.

There was still the slight issue of how to get the thing back to Earth without fully crashing.

They likely were going to have to use the Blackbird to ferry people from the metal structure once they got there, but as of right now, those holding it together were likely going to have to work together to move it that way. Magneto actually would probably be doing most of the heavy lifting with that part considering his powers. He seemed to figure that out as he maneuvered the structure around so they could more easily see where they were sort of steering, and he started moving the structure towards Earth again.

There was so much debris and all from the remains of the asteroid floating along now by their small life boat. Where the base had been was completely gone, save for the debris field, without that you would never have known that it had been there in the first place. It would likely take a while to get back to Earth, but that definitely was better than the alternative for what could have happened otherwise.

That could have ended worse, but that wouldn't do much to fix the fact that no matter how hard they had tried, they couldn't fully save everyone.

A week later

It was a bit of a sort of dreary day, sort of fitting for where it was after all. A small, older cemetery in France that was hidden away a bit. It wasn't too common for there to be visitors in the area, at least not right now, which is one of the many reasons she knew exactly who would be one of the few people to actually go there, aside from the caretakers for the place. Didn't take long to find him, and she didn't say anything at first, a hood pulled up over her head as she walked up, but kept her distance slightly, knowing fully well what the person she was approaching was capable of.

Bennet du Paris paused in his contemplations, in his prayer. His beloved's grave had decayed over the centuries, his lover and comrade in arms just dust beneath his feet. He had not been a mutant, after all - he did not bear the cross in his genes, the X. Bennet had gone somewhere that he could not follow, a place where no human could follow. And yet the wound was fresh, the grief as if he had lost him just yesterday, rather than centuries ago.

"I would remind you that this is a place of mourning," Bennet said softly, aware of his company. "A sacred place. If you are here to kill me, then know that the eyes of my Lord is upon you here."

"Who said that I was going to kill you? That sort of thing, even I know that's a bit of a low blow to do it in a place like this," she responded, giving him a bit of a smile as she walked over towards him. "That's not why I'm here anyway."

He tilted his head, peering down at her. "Then speak, child."

"I actually was wondering if you might potentially help me with something, choice is entirely up to you on whether or not you are even mildly interested in the idea. Just need to know what you answer is sooner rather than later, sorry for the rush."

"I always liked the stories my dad tends to tell about his adventures and all," Klara said with a bit of a shrug towards Prudence when she made her comment about everything. She personally always liked to hear stories about everything in general, it just so happens to typically align with Asgardian history for the most part. Even when her father tended to overexaggerate everything just a little bit, trying to figure out the full truth from that is half the fun.

Her attention shifted towards her cousin again as she once again reiterated the question. Well yeah, duh, they needed to drain the cup so there wasn't water in it. Technically trying to just disconnect the horn from the ocean would make sense, but honestly where was the fun in going with the obvious solution? Besides, it was more fun to try to drink from the cup first instead of anything, so she wasn't too surprised when Prudence decided to do just that and emptied the water, so she looked at Runa, "So will you help us now?"
