Clap!

A small clap was heard in the gigantic mess of noise in confusion. A man with dark, spiky and black hair had just landed on the ground from an obvious jump in.
A bunch of people stood gathered around five different instructors.

All wore their forehead protectors in the same fashion, of course, tied around their forehead. Each instructor had a headband with a different color in the cloth, though, to symbolize their country. He looked from left to right. One wore a Red one. The man figured it must have been the one from the Fire Country. Moving his eyes one spot right, he saw one with a Silver cloth. He figured, it must hav been from the wind country. Unimportant.
C'mon, Water..

He moved his eyes one spot to the right.
AHA!
The instructor he saw a smaller group of people gathered around, wore a headband with four swerving lines in it, and the cloth was sea-blue. The man realized immediately, the color of his own Water country forehead protector. He walked over, and saw that they were each taking a sheet of paper from a tablet on a table infront of the instructor. He took one himself, along with a pen from a cup next to the tablet.

He sighed. A sign-up sheet.
What a pain in the ass.. it will be worth it, however, I'm sure.

The man began to fill it out.

Sign-Up Sheet

What is your name? - Shinji Maeda

What is your Gender? - Male

What is your Age? - Twenty six

What are your interests? -

The man stopped there. "..Why are they asking me about my interests?" He looked up at the instructor, awaiting an answer. The instructor responded with a grunted, "Classified information."

What are your interests? - I'm particularly interested in weaponry, and reading. I spend most of my time reading, or weapon training, trying to built intelligence and accuracy. Both have appeared to have helped lightly.
Most of the other time, I'm a runner. I spend alot of my time running, building up actual physical strength.

Please give a moderately detailed background of yourself. - I grew up under the wing of Setsumei Takahara, a good friend of my father's. He home-schooled me, and taught me the way of the Shinobi at an early age. At fourteen, he left this world, at the age of eighty-five. He was a good man, and I miss him.

Once Setsumei died, a tutor came, that I never learned the name of. This man focused on intelligence more than physical strength. He had a peciluar ability to manipulate shadows. I learned it from him. He left ME, when I turned twenty, and I fended for my own since then, learning, and training, still to this day.

What country do you live in? - The Water Country

Do you have any special skills we should look at? - As mentioned earlier, the unnamed man taught me shadow manipulation skills. I am also deadly accurate with weaponry. I can do many manipulative techniques against water. (I learned these from Setsumei).

Please give this sheet to your designated instructor. A mail carrier will inform you if you are decided eligible for the tournament. If eligible, your tournament host will give you further instructions upon what to do.

Shinji handed the sheet of paper to the Water Country instructor. The instructor accepted the sheet, and put it into a bin to his right.
"Please leave for home. If you have been accepted, you will be notified."

With that, Shinji walked to the door. Outside, was an array of trees. He jumped to the branch of one, and then flew off swiftly, off to home.
