Rash'yeth kept his gaze on the woman's feet a moment longer, then he heard another set of footsteps approaching, he turned his head, a man with scales, blue scales, he jumped, shocked at the man's strange appearance, he glanced up to the man's face, he had a comforting smile on his face but that didn't stop him from being awfully scary, he looked at the fruit the man was offering him and shook his head slowly, "I c-can't, I'll be caught," he mumbled, looking to the ground, he moved over on his seat a little more, fiddling with the reigns as he did.
"You there! Get away from my slave!" the Trader's voice rung out as he descended the stairs towards them at a speed Rash'yeth wouldn't have thought the portly man capable of, he continued to stare at the ground as the trader reached them, "Are you deaf? Go away!" he yelled, Rash'yeth cringed away from the man, "Unless you want to buy him, go away, he'll cost you though, spirit broken from birth and all, won't fight back, will do what he's told," the man said, already trying to bargain him away, Rash'yeth simply sat there, listening, waiting to be bartered off for the highest price his current master could get.
The man had continued talking, he was offering prices now, "Eighty gold? One-hundred?" the man offered, through Rash'yeth's mind ran one question and one alone, what would his new master be like? He had heard of kinder masters but thought of them as merely a myth, he had never actually seen one, let alone had one, he looked at the horses regretfully, he would miss them if he was sold, they were is pride and glory, the two he had trained by himself, he restrained himself from sighing, it would only earn him a beating.
