Name/Nickname: Toyo Akira
Appearance: Appearance deceives more than words Personality: Toyo's very contained for the most part. Always trying to show respect to those around him has made him appear 'weak' in some peoples eyes, but really he just has a bit more restricting morals than most. His negative feelings are pushed aside for the sake of others, for the most part.
Class/Alignment: Shinigami/Evil, bad, etc.
Weapon/Abilities: ~ ,ZanpakutoName: Tenshinchigi (Translated as "Gods of Heaven and Earth")
~Shikai/Calling: Yes/Judge thine enemy, Tenshinchigi.
~Shikai Description: The first evolution of Tenshinchigi doesn't so much change the blade or the user, but the area around him. The first noticeable trait is the immediate thinness of the air, as if they were suddenly at a higher altitude. This is a product of the massive amount of concentrated reiatsu forming
around Toyo in a sphere like shape. This 'bubble' appears to be made of glass and acts primarily as a shield, taking every reiatsu-based physical attack and nullifying it's effects completely, shielding Toyo from harm. It also defends against toxins in the air. (The sphere is roughly seven feet in every direction.)
~Shikai Attack(s): Kago- With each attack the reiatsu sphere absorbs, the stronger the spiritual pressure it gives off to those around it. This spiritual pressure can be taken into Tenshinchigi and shot out of the blade at extremely high speeds doing massive damage equal to the power of all the attacks the sphere absorbed, doubled, thanks to Tenshinchigi own reiatsu. This attack is known as Kago (Divine Protection).
~Bankai/Calling:Yes/Punish thine enemy, Tenshinchigi.
~Bankai Description: Tenshinchigi's sphere begins to shrink until it's nothing but a small glossy outline against his body. At his back, a set of glass-like 'Angel' wings materalize, made-up of the same reiatsu as the sphere from his Shikai. This form seems to rip the very reiatsu out of the air, using it to fuel the Bankai's automatic ability of healing. As long as the wings are attached to Toyo's back, his wounds will heal at a startling pace as soon as his skin is harmed. (Minor wounds = thirty seconds/Major wounds = three minutes.) The wings may look fragile, but are actually very strong due to the constant flow of reiatsu through them.
~Bankai Attack(s): Meibatsu- While Toyo has now lost the ability to block attacks, he has gained a more offensive ability. He can fire off numerous feathers from his reiatsu wings which have the ability to lock onto multiple targets and change course with a simple mental command. These feathers explode upon contact as if they were each small hand-grenades. This is Meibatsu (Divine Punishment.).
~Shikai/Bankai Extras: The bubble surrounding Toyo not only absorbs reiatsu of attacks that come in contact with it, but also people. If someone was to touch it, they could easily enter the sphere, but their reiatsu flow would immediately be shut off, stopping any sort of energy attack they were using and halting any ability requiring reiatsu. (I.e., Shunpo/Sonido.) During this time inside, their reiatsu will start draining from their body. Once leaving the bubble, these abilities will immediately be restored.
The healing ability is not to Toyo alone. Those he comes in contact with via touch will also heal. In Bankai, Toyo's senses to pain are dulled making him able to stand much more painful blows than before. Also, if the wings are broken, he can begin to re-construct them using his own Reiatsu, but it will take time. Also, he cannot adequately defend himself when trying to do so as it shuts off all of his abilities that would require reiatsu, besides Bankai itself. (Shunpo, kido, etc.)
History: When Toyo was brought into the Gotei 13, he was placed into the 4th Division because of his rather lacking skills in combat. His forte was definitely not fighting, that was established during the academy. His skills with the blade were leveled at 'below-average' making him only able to really fight on-par with someone un-seated in a straight forward bout. His Kido skills barely reached average, the only individual skill he excelled in being healing. His offensive kido techniques failed nine out of ten times and his restraining Kido spells were almost non-existant. All in all, he would be useless on the front-lines..
So, the 4th Division was where he stayed. There, he grew in the ranks very quickly reaching the Vice-Captain position almost 'too-easily' the Captain has said. Still, he earned the title and got the respect from his squad and those in other squads that weren't seated. That was something he liked and wanted to continue. And it did for a while, until the Suicide Squad was created. Toyo had taken one look at those who would fill the squad and his whole body shook with fear. Their Reiatsu was enormous. He had heard of these creatures and just how dangerous they could be but never before had he seen them up-close.. And now they were supposed to help them? They killed numerous Shinigami in the past! How was he supposed to work side by side with them? What was to keep them from snapping and ripping his head off? These raced through his mind, colliding with one another at break-neck speed resulting in the following answer: Get out.
So he did. Toyo left one night, abandoning the Gotei 13 along with others, like him who did not like the partnership with these 'creatures'.
Eventually he joined up with an individual known as Gregel Kulso. He wanted to take over and control things, and this intrigued Toyo. It also spurred his brain to realize that if there was a war, both sides would be weak.. And he could help destroy the Arrancar in the end.. Playing it safe up until the final battle. After-all, he was a counter-fighter. Too bad for the Gotei 13. They didn't pay much attention to him at all. If they had, they would have realized that he had unlocked Bankai shortly before departing..
Other: Nobody (yet) knows the extent of Toyo's abilities (Shikai/Bankai.) His squad knew of his Shikai, but no-one else as nobody really gave him the time of day; being in the 4th division. His Bankai is a secret that he hasn't revealed to anyone yet.

"Reporting in, ma'am!" the exhausted boy standing in the doorway announced, almost tripping over the small rise where the ground and wood met. He had been working for five hours straight, healing the wounds of the eleventh divisions members who thought it'd be funny to try and take on their Captain in an all out assault after he got out of the bath.. Not the smartest choice they could make, and they wouldn't be able to repeat it with the amount of damage they took. Not for a while anyways.
"Toyo, have you made sure the patients are comfortable?" The red-haired woman kneeling at the edge of a bed across the room from Toyo asked politely. Over had back was draped the white Haori marking her as a Captain of the Gotei 13 with the Japanese Kanji of '4' on her back. "Yes ma'am." He answered quickly and confidently. "Not that they'd be able to know anyways. Out of the 17 of them, only two are conscious and they're too beaten to know the difference between a sword and their shoes." He added with a quick smile. "But yes ma'am. Everything is taken care of, including all of the paper-work. I also noted the Captain of the 11th personally.. Although, I did have to mention you when I was advising him to not be so rough on his members, just to make sure he didn't pulverize me.. After all, everyone seems to be scared of you." Toyo's voice trailed off for a bit at the end. He wondered why that was, actually. His Captain was the nicest woman in all of Soul Society as far as he was concerned. He had asked before, but she had ignored the question and sent him on his way.. It was worth another shot..
"Excuse me, ma'am. But why is everyone so afraid of you..?" Again, his voice trailed off, but this time a result of his Captains head turning to look at him in a cold-stare that sent chills down his back. "Please, Toyo." She started. "The patients will be needing food soon. I suggest you don't neglect them, otherwise the 11th divisions Captain may not be so forgiving." She flashed him a quick smile before turning back to her work.
I guess nothing ever changes.
