Joshua leaned against the front passenger door, eager to get out of the car. In the black jaguar car, the heat was unbearable in the leather interior.
'Roastingg. We almost there?' Joshua asked Carlane, his hired 'nanny'.
'Yeah, it's behind those trees.' Caralane said, indicating her left hand to a group of tall trees hiding the Xaviers institute.
Joshua looked at the trees, seeing through to the mansion.
'Ohh. I've seen bigger.' Joshua laughed.
Carlane soon drove into a parking space, and Joshua pushed the door to his side open, upwards.
'This is going to be a good year.' Renwick said, excitedly.
'Remember, your mother said you should just go to the front desk and ask for your room number, and give your name. And she doesn't want you hanging around with any hooligans.' Carlane said, making her way to the back of Jaguar, pushing up the boot of the car.
Joshua took his suitcase, and slid up the handle of it, and began to walk along towards the steps to the school.
Without even a goodbye to his carer, he jogged up the steps with his suitcase. Carlane drove away behind the array of trees back to the airport.
Joshua passed through the modern doors of the institute, and walked through the Lobby to the front desk.
'Hey, can I have my dorm number? Joshua asked the receptionist, unable to stop smiling for some reason.
'Joshua Renwick.' He added before she could ask for his name.
'Dorm number.. 100.' The receptionist replied after a few clicks and taps at her PC.
'Nice round number. Do you know where this room is?' Joshua asked her.
'Through the lobby, go through the door in front of you, up the staircase, take a left from that floor down the corridor and go along to 100..' She replied instantaneously.
'Thank-you.' Joshua replied, turning and walking with the suitcase as it clicked behind him to the lobby.
