"You two are each other’s?" Yoshe puzzled. "Souls are..." she trailed off for a second, trying to remember what the word ‘soul’ meant in her own language. "Ah! The two are in same spirit, almost like married one!" Interesting... She certainly seemed satisfied by her own analogy. Still, Yoshe was hoping for a chance to hear more details.

For now, Yoshe watched every movement that the beast made and attempted to evaluate what it was thinking. This feline was quite different from any of the similar creatures on her world, creatures that the skills of her profession allowed her to communicate with on a basic level not quite comparable to speech. This one was strange, though. Such should be expected, Yoshe had learned after years of coming to Aeolida.

"I hear word for to describe this one," Yoshe said suddenly, putting aside her inability to read the animal as she could on her homeworld. Her expression showed that she was struggling to remember what the word was. After a moment, she blurted out "Snarky!" with a snap of her fingers. Her face lit up and she repeated, "he is snarky." With her hands, Yoshe indicated the flipping of the tail and the manner in which his head was on his paws; all in all, a universal feline gesture that said ‘I’m irritated’. "Very snarky," she added with a sharp, accentuating nod.

Finally remembering her manners, Yoshe straightened and held out her hand in the manner of the locals of Aeolida to the woman and then to the man, introducing herself as Warden Yoshe to both of them. She looked like she was hoping her social ungracefulness would be overlooked, and at the same time like she was trying to keep her face unreadable. Clearly, she was failing at the latter. In hopes to further cover her mistake, she squatted down and held out a hand to the feline who was easily about the same size as herself. "Don’t know if you smarter than creatures in my home," she said quietly, "but if you are, then I am Yoshe."
