Falco nodded as he stood up from his seat, motioning towards the door. Deathdrinker and Falco stepped outside. As the sun set in the far distance, it painted the sky a dazzling orange and pink color mixed with wisps of white clouds. From just outside the Inn, the towering buildings of the Inner City could be seen with the sky as their background. Small lights from the numerous windows began to flicker on as night drew closer. The occasional whir of a passing airship and the background noise from the Inn were the only noises. No one was outside save for Falco and Deathdrinker. But Falco had no time to observe the beauty of the place, as amazing as it was. What he was about to tell Deathdrinker overshadowed any desire to marvel at the wonders of Aeolida.

"I have found some intriguing information in the short week I have been here in Aeolida. I do not take you for a religious man, but you know as well as I do that there are greater powers then us out there. Each planet with intelligent life has certain gods they worship, yet I have found that there are striking similarities between the different religions of the different planets. Some of them are more subtle, such as two planets sharing identical worshiping rituals yet each worshiping a different god. Others are a little bit more obvious. For example, I have found evidence of the worship of Pelor on several different planets, all of them dating back before the Nexuses were open." Falco paused as if wincing, then said, "I have digressed slightly. Along with similar religions, I have also seen instances of legends from different planets being identical, especially ones concerning items of power."

Falco reached his arm down into his bag, much farther than a bag of its size should have allowed. He fumbled around for a bit with a reluctant expressions on his face, then withdrew an item. In his hand was a fist-sized metallic sphere, perfect in its dimensions. The sheen and tint of the metal suggested it was brass. The sphere gave off a slight orange glow.

"This is one such item of power whose legend extends to various planets. I loathe carrying it around, but it is too dangerous for me to simply hide it anywhere. It is called an Orb of Dragonkind. I do not know the full extent of its power, only that activating it allows the possessor to control dragons of the corresponding type, in this case brass. I am hoping that through further study in the Imperial Library, I can find a world both devoid of brass dragons and of the legend of the Orb itself, so I can be rid of it!" Falco scowled.

"It is strange. I am not certain why I am telling you this. Perhaps I am too weak to bear the burden alone. Regardless, if something were ever to happen to me, now that you know of its existence, I expect you to hide it just as I would. Now then, should we head back inside. I have yet to have a drink tonight!"
