Athradien walked into the Dragonfly Inn rather lackadaisically, his eyes dark showing he was in a depressed mood yet again. At his side, Bane (his companion) walked close to his left side, eying him slightly as he didn't really look at his surroundings. His body language seemed to show he had been trying to get Athradien in a better mood and his will to do so was beginning to feign.

"Just forget about it... We have a new life here... Just forget about Alaronia..." Bane's thoughts flowed through Athradiens mind, though this set off a spark of irritation through his subconscious. "I will not leave my people to that... thing..." Athradien growled at Bane, not making eye contact.

Athradien made his way to the counter to buy the same drink. Bane sat directly behind him, finally taking his mind from Athradien and looking around the Inn, taking note of the large animal similar to himself... minus the blue scales and such.

Bane sat on his haunches, tilting his head slightly to the right as he looked from what he thought was a female fairy, three men, the animal, and the woman who seemed to own the animal. "Looks like I'm not the only one that travels with others..." He said to Athradien who just shrugged it off, not really paying much attention to the others. "But you have to be the most irritating one..." He added with a voice which signaled he was in no mood to really talk.

Without much thought, Bane became intricately curious. He stood up and slowly walked over to the animal which he hadn't ever seen before. He had a very cautious stance, sniffing the air around it before looking at it with a confused face, still a comfortable distance away from it. "Hey! Look! I haven't ever seen anything like this!" The energetic and young voice of Bane entered Athradiens mind who just rolled his eyes, feeling Bane look over his shoulder at him, "There's a lot of stuff you haven't seen..." He said out loud, taking a drink from his glass. His voice seemed rather uninterested in what Bane was talking about. Bane blew out his nose and turned back to the animal, staring at it with an intense sense of curiosity, blinking every now and then.

Banes age had a lot to do with his curiosity and relative attitude. Living in a new environment wasn't the only contribution to his actions. He was an odd sight himself, possibly the only one of his kind in the whole universe which had made their way to this land. He was old enough to learn not to do things, but not old enough to learn to leave those things alone. He usually found his way into trouble and Athradien had to bail him out. This wasn't a rare occasion, it actually happened quite often.

Athradien on the other hand was the wiser and more responsible one of the duo. Though he was only 36, he knew a lot more than most others did at his age. From various economics to Basic and Complex Wilderness survival skills, he knew at least a little of anything and everything in the middle. He had matured at a fairly early age and had lost so much that many hadn't ever dared to think of losing until they were far older.
