The Travellers

Prologue - Zhaira Darel

Semular. The capital city of the Human Kingdom. The Humans ruled the southern half of the continent; the Dwarves choosing to remain in the northern mountains. The capital city was a gargantuan place; always bustling with activity. It was purely by coincidence that Tarvellin Verinos had chosen to rest there. He was planning on leaving that very day, heading southward. He really had no clue as to where he would go. Little did he know, his days of aimless wandering were over.

As he strolled down one of the extremely busy streets, he noticed a small sheet of paper pinned to the wall; an advertisement.

ATTENTION WOULD-BE TRAVELLERS:
Worried for your safety, travelling alone? Wish to see the world? No particular destination in mind?
Join Zhaira Darel's travelling group, and meet others who share your interests! We shall explore every nook and cranny this continent has to offer, and will keep each other safe if bandits choose to strike!

Come to the Rusted Blade Tavern on Thursday the 8th to join!

Forget heading South, Tarvellin thought to himself. He knew this was the group for him. He quickly booked himself a room at the Rusted Blade tavern, biding his time as he waited for the 8th to come about.

When the day finally came, he packed all of his equipment away and half-bounded down the stairs to the tavern's bar. Grinning, he approached the bartender with an excitable "Where do I find Zhaira Darel?" He was pointed to a large table in the corner, where a young, athletic woman sat. Walking with his trusty staff, he sat down opposite Zhaira. "Zhaira Darel? I wish to join your Travellers!"

The Murderers

Prologue - Faralon Darel

"You want me to kill Drela Shorn?" Astrolanoid demanded, rather shocked. His contact was a young criminal, Faralon Darel. He was part of a large family of corrupted nobles; innocent in the eyes of the king. Faralon's father was said to be a man who could kill you before you saw his face. Although, those rumours were also said of Astrolanoid.

"You're not saying she's too much for you, are you?" Faralon queried with mock concern. Astrolanoid growled, "Oh no, you're not gonna coax me! I'll do it for double what you offer. I just don't think Semular's favourite heroine is going to be easy to get to."

"True, I suppose," Faralon concurred. "But double is too much. I'll add another half of what I've already offered you."
"Three quarters!"
"Done. You drive a hard bargain, but you are the best, I suppose." Faralon observed. "Worry not," he reassured, "You won't be working alone. I've hired four assassins to aid you in this mission; they should be arriving shortly. Who would pass up a chance to work with the mighty Astrolanoid Direlios?"

Astrolanoid smirked. "Groupwork. Haven't done that in a while. Usually the only ones who get near me are dead people and people who pay me money. Oh well, should be interestin.' Consider the job done, Mister Darel." He nodded his head towards his client.

"I'll remain here to introduce you to your aides." He explained.
