Sorry I'm so late. Phfft.

Anyway - reading through all of this, Libra may no longer be available. Let me know and I'll see about changing things around. I'll wait for the okay and type up a post that will be ready to be posted when I'm notified if there's still room for m'chara.

Name: Amel de Saerpe daela

"Then again, the greatest concern of the Saerpe daela is it’s complete lack of regard for the life of it’s fellow packmates. It is known to turn on its own progeny even within the first months of life simply because the young are too near so as to be offensive. It is, in all circumstances, a vicious creature with little intelligence and as high a prey drive as a spider with a fly caught in her silks." ~ Morlandio Bromia, The Complete Guide to Possible Hypotheses Regarding Intelligence in Variable Species; a scientist’s compendium vol. VII

Creature background: The Saerpe are of two clans, both Cierli and Daela sorts. They run in "packs" and have a strict justice code. During the centuries, there have been two major camps of thought on how the Saerpe were to survive. The Cierli side of the argument was to cohabit and comingle with the "humanity" of their world in order to hide their differences, thus thinning blood and dissipating the packs until only at times are Saerpe traits distinguishable. It is not thought to be a bad thing to have some Saerpe in one’s blood line.
However, the Daela saw things differently. On their home world, they are feared by citizens and often hunted and killed. Their abilities to transform into anything makes it almost impossible to tell how many of them exist. Their pack identity remains very intact and very traditional/ritualistic.
Personality: Amel is a young Saerpe in the grand scheme of things (despite the inclination of the Saerpe to be physically/sexually mature by age four, leading to a prolonged adulthood), but rather inclined toward genius in vision. This ability to see things at a higher level than those who surround it make things difficult for Amel to survive even in the pack. Amel is a work in progress, inclined toward a sober disposition, aloneness, and a rather strict code which Amel expects everyone to understand without having to be told - so therefore often seems disgusted by the actions of others.

Human form: still up in the air - possibility as follows:
Female, looking to be age 19.
Slender girl with long neck, dusting of freckles upon her nose, short dark hair, and large, dark eyes, yet she’s smaller than average, around five four in height. Tends toward aloneness. Student with double major in biology and anthropology as well as minor in psychology at university - finishing up her masters in self study - neuropsychology, emphasis on brain sciences. Currently working in research project under Dr. Debra Holmes.
"I have learned that with creatures one loves,
suffering is not the only thing for which one may pity them.
A rabbit who does not know when a gift has made him safe
is poorer than a slug,
even though he may think himself otherwise."
