Merion woke in the middle of the night with a shake, feeling his nose twitch violently and a loud sneeze erupting from his nose. He moaned and screwed up his eyes, one halfway open where the other was a little more visible, his face contorted slightly. He shook his head violently and brought his hand up, rubbing his temple which was seeming to give him a headache, or at least trying to. He shook his head against though this time it wasn't as rough, slowly standing up as he looked to the east to see the darkness turning a faint Grey, showing the sun would be up in at least 3 or so hours.
He stood straight up, staring into the distance at the sky as if he was looking for something in particular, though he really wasn't. He squinted his eyes for a second then lightened up, taking in a deep breath and letting it out none too slow, making his clothes jerk on his body slightly. Before he had been changed, his clothes had been baggy... though now they were beginning to get a little small, though they were roughly a perfect fit.
He seemed stiff, a little sore when he would move at first... his joints popping as he shook slightly in a sense to loosen himself up. His eyes trailed over to the three sleeping dragons, watching their bodies rise and fall as breath filled and left their lungs. Merion still found it ironic how Brisingr was the biggest, though he was the youngest and lesser dragon compared to Klassh and Draken. Though he didn't feel an ounce of disrespect toward Brisingr, if not for him... He wouldn't be who he was today, having actually matured to a point he wouldn't have been if he was just back in his home town, fishing or something.
Merion walked to a tree not too far from the house, jumping and grabbing a sturdy branch, pulling himself up on it. His right leg dangled off the branch where his left knee was propped up, his left forearm resting against it. He began venturing into his memories, recollecting his life one year at a time as far back as he could remember. All of the good times, all of the bad times, and everything in between... It seemed like it had been so long ago.
He would sit there and watch the life of the land grow as the suns light began to grow, feeling everything around him as he attempted to get a head start on his minds training. He could feel small signals of them all, Halt, Adriana, Klassh, Draken, Brisingr, and various small animals and the foliage... it was so much more vivid than it was when Halt was teaching him before... It was probably because he wasn't wanting to try and go above and beyond someones standards. He was calm, cool, and collected right now, and this helped him condierably... he would have to remember that feeling and use it at a later time when he'd need to.
