This RP takes place in the world of Isus. A completely fictional world. The time is not exact, but it's feel is somewhat like the Medieval times. Absolutely no modern technology. When most think of Greek mythology, gods and goddesses come to mind. The history of Medea and Nemesis rely heavily upon Greek mythology. It is unsure who were the true parents of Nemesis. Another thing that is not recorded is the sister of Nemesis, Medea. She is the protector of good. Nemesis made it her passion to shield the world from Medea. This is the story...

Both were born on the same day, one right after the other. Despite the fact that they were twins, the difference between the two was obvious. Medea was born with a bright eyes and golden blonde hair. Nemesis was born with black hair and dark eyes. Such a thing had never been heard of. With such a surprise, Medea had to be hidden. Nemesis was destined to be a goddess and there would be nothing getting in the way. The world was blind to her, but not blind to the doings of her sister.

At first, Nemesis used her power for justice. Those who did wrong would be rightfully punished. Later when the other gods began to fade, her power grew and so did her mind. Dark thoughts clouded her very being and it went from justice, to mayhem. Anything that she did was for the wrong reasons. She began to honor those who did wrong while deliberately hurting those with a good heart.

As Nemesis developed, Medea was locked up and fed enough to keep her alive. With nothing to do, she trained herself to fight and use her powers. Having such a large amount of time made her strong. Her sister was growing evil and she was pure of heart. They were exactly opposite. The only ones to know of this was her and her sister. Some suspected, but were quickly killed.

Within the time of her captivity, Medea formulated a plan for escape. With much precision, it was successful. Nemesis was outraged to learn of her sister's escape. Many would soon find out of Medea's pure motives and the fear of Nemesis would reduce. This could not happen.

To cover up her sister, Nemesis created a story of her own. With her power stronger than ever, she planted a false story of Medea. She portrayed Medea as an evil sorceress, daughter of King Aeetes and wife of Jason. With her power, she manipulated minds and gained control. Medea had much difficulty with this. Nemesis distributed this story and many came to hate Medea.

With such hate toward her being, Medea traveled constantly. She was also a goddess but could not act as one in her situation. During her travels, she gained support from those who came to know of her good soul. Followers of Medea began to grow. She constantly attempted to make contact with the other gods, but it seemed to grow fainter as time passed.

After much persistence, she gained contact with Zeus. His voice was deep, but was much weaker than she expected. Within the short length contact, she learned of the gods and goddesses' power growing weak. She knew that it was Nemesis. What she didn't know was how she was doing it.

Within weeks, Medea could no longer contact anyone. She knew that they were gone. A world without justice would surely turn chaotic. Her sister no longer believed in justice, only hurt and misery. Medea needed to gain power and fast. What she didn't realize was that as the gods faded, they were transferring some of their power to her.

As she slept that same night, power was given to her and she felt it once she woke. She had the power, but followers were needed. Without support from mortals, her task could prove difficult. The story imbedded by Nemesis was highly believed among mortals. Support was proving difficult.

Now, Medea has gained supporters, but has lost some to her sister. Her power has grown. Mortals have tried to challenge Nemesis, but have failed miserably. The only one able to defeat Nemesis is Medea. But will she succeed?

Map of Isus

Volshun - a war stricken environment with lush forests and a vast amount of wildlife. Moderate temperatures. Frequent rain.

Loreten - Extremely mountainous region. Very cold climate. Snows constantly.

Exartis - A warm flat region. Covered in plains.

Nothrasia - Constant electrical storms fill the skies. The sun never surfaces in this region. Because of this, there is not much wildlife. No foliage.

Islands - Tropical


A few things you should know:

• Players will be human, they also have the option of having minor magical abilities. But only one ability, it would be nice if it was related to your occupation for example a Prophet.

• You have the option of either being part of The Sullen (Nemesis), The Luminary (Medea), or you may just be neutral leaning toward either or neither side.

• Just because cities and villages are labeled on the map, it doesn’t mean you have to be in one of those spots. You can use imagination if you like.

• The gods may also fall in love with mortals.

1) I don’t want any less than a paragraph per post. This is for advanced writers so I expect more from the posts.
2) Please write in complete sentences. This isn’t instant messaging. Sentences are my friend.
3) NO God-modding.
4) No sex, keep everything PG-13. In other words no Bawmchicawahwah.
