Melissa held her books against her chest, keeping her head bent low and muttering sleepy words to herself as she walked the long way to her first class of the week. She was a new student enrolled in the University and a very tired one at that. It was rough trying to settle in a new place so far away from home...
"Hahaha. You honestly think I will be able to be fooled by your mirages, wench?"
...especially with weird dreams floating through her mind and making her wake up in a cold sweat and fright in the middle of the night. She pushed the glasses back on the tiny bridge of her nose and sped up. The watch told her it was almost time for class and she still had a long ways to go.
"Why have I been having those damn dreams?" She said to no one in particular.
She didn't stop, brushing and passing by other students who were on their way to class and saying pardon after leaving them behind in her dust. She kept running til she arrived at the doors of a bricked building. She heaved a loud sigh then walked in as though she wasn't running.
"Sorry if I'm la-" The scene caught her attention. No one was around. She raised an eyebrow then heaved another sigh but it came out like a snort through her nose. If she was able to generate fire, there would be some spouting from her nose like she was an enraged dragon.
"What gives...?" She turned to look at a sign that was right next to the door and she swore for a moment she had a dunce cap on. "Hm..." She leaned in to glare at the sign but decided to give up and just read it.
"Class is postponed for ten minutes. Any students interested may head over to the High School to sit in for a moment while all problems are sorted out."
"Hm, Whatever. Wonder what happened." She stepped out and headed for the High School division. It'd be nice to see little kids again anyways.
