[So this is the IC thread everyone has been waiting for. Remember the posting order, and enjoy! Sorry about the wait guys!]

Dark, dank, miserable. The soft drip drip of water echoed onto the stalagmite ridden floor from corresponding stalactites pointing in ominous, stone stilettos from the roof of the cavern. All was silent save for that gentle drip. Or so it seemed to the man whom had his face pressed to the cool, stone floor.

Slowly, and feeling disoriented, the man raised his head, not bothering to wipe blond hair out of his vision as he peered around the cavern gingerly. He wasn't sure how he had gotten here, truly he wasn't. He remembered being in a cellar, but certainly nothing like this. This wasn't a cellar at all. If he were correct, he felt deep underground. Very deep. He felt as though the whole weight of the earth above him could collapse on him any instant, and crush him under the impact. Or perhaps it had already collapsed and left him in a pocket of air, stalagmites, and stalactites.

That thinking however, was unreasonable, figured the rather young elementalist as he finally came to his feet. He expected pain, soreness, or a sign that he had fallen a great height, for that's what his disorientation felt like, but there was nothing. A glance up at the ceiling of the cavern, which he could barely make out, even with a soft luminous glow somewhere off in the distance revealed that it was definitely not a grand enough height to fall from. In fact, if he had stood on his own shoulders, with his 5'8" tall frame, he probably would have just been able to brush his fingers against the ceiling, excluding the randomly placed stalactites. Most were of an unimportant size, but a few, Triton noted to himself, were some he'd definitely have to dodge should he bump his head upon them. The stalagmites however, were far and few between, and easy to sidle his body around them when he had to.

What had caught his eye however, was the reason of luminescence in the chamber he found himself in. A glance revealed to him a dimly glowing patch of moss. Confused and enthralled by it, Triton lowered himself to hands and knees and crawled carefully towards it. Yes, he crawled. He certainly didn't want to bump his head on an over reaching stalactite, and he'd be able to feel the ground out better with his hands should there be any objects he may not wish to step on.

He reached the glowing moss without incident and hesitantly reached out a hand to gingerly run his fingers along the luminescent surface. No stinging. No funny feelings. With a sudden idea, he brought both hands before him and perched on his knees, cupping a bunch of the moss in between arched hands and pulling it away from the rocky surface it sat on. He paused a moment, shifting the moss to be sure the glow would remain once he had separated it from its apparent home, and satisfied that it would, he stood, holding the moss out before him with one hand, and reaching his other out to feel for any obstacles as he slowly began to shuffle across the cavern. His fingers brushed against something solid once again, and with mild curiosity, he stepped closer to the source and held up the luminescent moss. A wall. A wall of rock. Of course. Had he truly hoped to find anything different?

A grimace of distaste puckered features otherwise smooth and gentle as he trudged his way along the wall, studying for any fissures, or perhaps an opening. That's what he wanted more. An opening meant he could perhaps find a way back to the surface... out of this place. But... he didn't walk down here. No... As far as he knew, he didn't come here by any conventional entrance.

All he remembered was studying an ornate arch in a cellar. The arch didn't seem to have any significance. It was no doorway. He had even passed through it a few times to verify that it had no magical properties. He had resolved to mark it for study and then, when he had touched it again...

He woke up laying with his face against the cool stone. That was it.

He didn't notice when his hands ran over an indent, barely perceptible in the stone walls beneath one's own fingers, though he managed to look briefly at the wall he was studying to see... markings. Markings like the arch he had found. He licked his lips eagerly, trying to get a clearer look at his surroundings, or more particularly, at the markings on the wall. They ran along the wall he realized, brimming with sudden excitement despite his predicament of being who knows how many miles underground with no food, and calcium carbonate enriched water dripping steadily from the stalactites.

None of that crossed his mind as he traveled along the wall, hardly watching where his feet were stepping by this point which was why he was suddenly shocked to find one purchase on a soft patch of ground. One he had not recalled should be in a cavern at all.

The thought however was short lived as his other toe caught upon this soft patch of ground and sent him sprawling flat onto his stomach on the ground, his arms flaying out wide and spraying glowing moss everywhere. He landed hard on his stomach with a loud oomph, and a shocked look on his face for he was nearly kissing a not so conveniently placed stalagmite. Quickly, he scrabbled for a quick purchase of the glowing moss and shifted it so he could make out what was behind him.

A... body?
