Sounds had been teasing at Hanali's ears for a short time now, but his mind was too groggy to comprehend any of it. His mind began to clear after a short time of...lying on his back, he thought. The sound of dripping, that is what had roused him, he could recognize it even if it was followed by echo's.

...Echo's? That seemed an odd thought, for last he recalled, he was in some abandoned ruins of an elven outpost. Nothing should be causing echo's in such a simple building. Stirring, he realized he was laying on his face, and not his back. Hanali brought himself up to his knee's, unsure of his footing, let alone of where he might be.

Finally opening his eyes, and it did prove an effort, he looked around. Darkness was all he could see much beyond himself. His eyes shifted over to his infravision, giving him a better understanding of his surroundings.

Rocks, lots of rocks. I think I preferred the darkness. Hanali got up to his feet, feeling his muscles tense a bit. It dawned on him why he was so stiff, he had gone 3 days without rest tracking those blasted creatures then went on to slay the whole lot of them.Or atleast I think I did, maybe one got me upside the head with a cudgel or something. Regardless of the questions running through his head, he knew if something had left him here unconscious, he had better move before whatever it was got back.

His strength was returning as he started walking away from that spot, he must have been out for a while or his body was still running off that adrenaline rush he had. He stopped not to far from where he had started before he heard voices, not in the guteral language of the creatures he had been slaying. That peaked his curiosity. So, Hanali started towards the voices, trying to keep silent but not having that good of luck, his scabbard kept hitting stalagmites and his avoiding stalactites made his chainmail squeak. "Good thing I didn't become a ranger, otherwise this would just be embarrassing then."

The voices getting louder let him know he was getting closer, and he finally began to see light in his normal vision. He did atleast try to keep himself hidden in the stalagmites around the odd source of light and sound. Peaking his head around, see two figures a bit obscured by the lack of useful light, but enough to make out their general appearances and that one seemed ready to start a fight. Hanali kept himself back against the rock, letting his mind clear up a bit more before intervening and seeing what those two might be up to, especially if they were the reason he was down here.
