Tossing and turning was a typical thing for Alice. She shivered during the night, but she had no desire to pull the blankets over her slender body. She talked a few times, but it was all garbled and nothing made sense. Her phone was what woke her. Blue eyes fluttered open as she sat up rather quickly, which made her head spin.
"Hello?" She asked softly. The person on the other line was a man from the bakery. She had gotten a job and they wanted her to start right away, as in today. Alice was required to wear a dark purple shirt and blue jeans. Good thing she had that outfit.
After a quick shower, Alice was dressed and heading out the door. She had to get there so that her boss could train her. Turns out the guy working their before her had quit last night so they hired her. At least she would be bringing in money, even if the hours were ungodly.
