The Supremacy of The Imperial
I've created a regiment for us to use in this roleplay, I'd say I filled in all the blanks, but if you have any questions or suggestions, just let me know.
Regiment force information:
Name: 1st Stormwind Regiment
Size: 500 men.
Planet: Telasia, a moderate sized jungle planet that is under ork invasion, the local military has rallied a much smaller army, but since the resources have run dry, the imperium doesn't plan to send any reinforcements. The wind storms on the planet are almost infamous throughout the galaxy, the tropical weather provides alot of rain, but also the occurences of typhoons. The wildlife of the planet is considering dangerous and wandering around alone isn't suggested, the most dangerous of the planets wildlife is the rhinoceraptors, they are aggresive and fierc, they have armorered hides as well as razor sharp talons.
Recruitment and training: Soldiers are only recruited from the planet, but few are deemed fit. Training begins at the age of 19, they start with the trial of intiation, the recruit is sent into the jungle to fair for their own, if they return then they undergo combat and fitness excercises, some even are thrown into live combat.
Battle style: They don't have many vehicles left, a few chimeras, and a single sentinel. Their front line is made up of shotgun, and power weapon specilization troops, the power weapons are engineered to look like axes. They also have conscript squads who provide ranged coverage from the center of the setup, and few sniper squads, but the few they have are veterans on the field of battle.
Equipment: Gaurdsmen of the Stormwind Regiment wear black vests, combat boots, fingerless gloves, and navy blue and black camoflauge pants. They wear no helmets, the heat of their planet makes wearing too much armor a weakness in battle, they use shotguns, axe shaped power weapons, lascannons, sniper rifles. Some have flamethrowers and grenade launchers, but their equipment and ammo is limited, so the heavy weapons aren't used often.
Troop types:
Stormwind conscripts: Armed with flak armor and lascannons, they are fairly weak but make up a good size of the stormwind army, they provide ranged coverage for the rippers and talons, their armor is weak as well their weaponry, in large numbers they can inflict great harm, but alone they are mediocre at killing anything, some few get upgraded weaponry, but only if they prove themselves first.
Stormwind rippers: Bear shotguns and frag grenades and flak armor, they are used for disrupting the frontlines, often they peirce through the frontlines to commanders, they are effective at bullrushing enemies, they are used for assault, they fight better alongside each other, while one shoots the other reloads, then vice versa, they work in duos like that very well. They get the name ripper from....well, when they shoot an enemy with a shotgun it rips them to shreds, hence the name.
Stormwind Talons: They wear flak armor and bear power weapons molded to look like axes, they are swift and fierce in battle, inheriting their name from the rhinoceraptors of the jungle. They are used for flanking and assaulting command units, or even ambushes, but they fight best in the frontlines, they are highly trained and hard to kill, they're the elite unit of the stormwind regiment.
Stormwind Ghosts: The sniper unit of the stormwind regiment, they are elite snipers and have trained in the extreme enviornement of the jungle and even practice in the typhoons winds, they are highly accurate and considered the best in the imperium. They get the name ghosts from their ability to be elusive, to be deadly and out of sight.
