I'm not fond of the officers, so I'll get myself a nice, down-to-earth lowly meatshield.
Name: Bran 'Wolf' Coyle
Age: 24
Primary weapon: Sniper rifle
Secondary weapon: Mono-filament knife
Appearance: Short and wiry, Coyle stands a full head below the rest of his platoon, but has earned a healthy reputation for beating the living daylights out of anyone who points this fact out. His skin is tanned, not from sunlight - he sees little of that, being a night-fighting specialist - but from being too close to a flamer backwash. His kit is looked after meticulously, not because he wants to impress, but because a badly-maintained kit is a liability on the field of battle. His dark eyes glare out from under a brow furrowed by years of combat, always moving, taking in everything. His nickname, 'Wolf', comes from his ability to run for an hour flat-out; and because he once tore out an enemy soldier's throat with his teeth. Despite his imposing appearance, he is a light-hearted character, though inclined to brood.
Troop type: Ghost Sergeant
Regiment: Stormwind First
Prefered style of combat: He is comfortable with one of two combat styles; either putting hotshots between the eyes of enemy troopers from a quarter of a mile away, or up close, sliding his mono-filament knife across their throats, unseen. As soon as he is expected to engage in short-range firefights, however, his legendary aim evaporates, he panics, and makes bizarre decisions. For this reason, he has never fought in the front line.
History: Home destroyed by the Chaos crusade of Warlord M'grath on the distant planet of Hurth, saved only by the appearance of the Stormwind First, he took advantage of the Act of Consolation to join his saviours, and swiftly obtained a reputation for incredible accuracy and a fierce hatred for any xenos. He fought his way through the ranks to obtain the title of Sergeant, leading a squad of elite snipers into battle, blowing away the enemy whenever he encounters them. He has no desire to rise further through the ranks, though secretly hopes to one day put a hotshot through the head of M'Grath, who survived the vengeance of the Stormwind First.
