Green was, all things considered, not the worst color to wake up to. Oh sure, a lovely pink or a cool blue would be better, but at least it wasn't black. These thoughts flew through his mind as he sat suspended in the tank; at least it's not black. He was in some sort of tank, with wires attached to him.

Perhaps I should be alarmed. Would alarm help in this situation? Not likely. I'll stay calm.

Then, the pain came. The sharp pinpricks as the wires pulled out of his skin made the man grunt lowly, nearly crying out... but then the soft, cool feel of his wounds healing eased his torment. In a matter of seconds, the tube had drained, and opened to reveal a room before him. He started forward, but when the oxygen mask pulled his head backward, as he had not taken it off, the green, slimy liquid caused him to trip and fall on his ass.

"Bugger." His voice was low and strong... and confident. It had weight to it. It was a man's voice. Ripping the mask from his face, he carefully stood to regard himself in the mirror. Past his prime? Yes... and bald as well. And large. He sighed, for some reason he had been picturing himself as a six foot Adonis with bulging muscles. Reality was starting to be a bore.

After drying off and putting on the "clothes" he had been left, he went to examine the drink on the small table. "Drink Me" it said.

"Down the rabbit hole with you," he told the drink, leaning back to take it all in one gulp. The amber fluid was cool and refreshing, just barely carbonated. It made his body shudder slightly after drinking, but it was a good feeling. A welcome feeling.

Taking a second to re-examine the room, he knew there was nothing left to do. Got nothing better to do than open the door and walk out. And so he did.

I am that man.
