Templar clambered down off the humvees top.
"I see them...just get the hummer started and back out, slowly. I'll get inside when you get clear of the parking spot."
He had the shotgun half drawn, aimed at the ground. His trigger finger was wrapped around the outside of the firing mechanism so that way he wouldn't accidently hit a hair trigger. The group of "people," numbering in the dozens, started to sprint at the pair from the other side of the intersection nearly two hundred feet away. Their bloodied screams punctured the night.
Templar cussed out loud. They were spotted. He opened up on the group with the 12 gauge, not even caring that that they were really far away or that there was a machine gun turret on top of the humvee. Even that he had other guns on him didn't seem to matter that much. His feet carried him away from the vehicle and out into the street, drawing their attention away from the humvee. He only hoped the woman would get the vehicle moving.
