Ad? Her blue hues flickered over to the man and woman standing up, the man was considerably taller than her...she could tell. She fiddled with her earing that trailed down to another earing with a chain, before her stomach growled loudly. She reddened with embarrasment and then decided on getting some food before she began to talk. She set down her messenger bag with a large thud and then set her bass against it and the bar, sitting on one of the swirly stools she had back home.
She let out a childish giggle and batted her feet together playfully before a man came over with a pad of paper she knew well. "What can I get you?"
Her mind quit. What had he said? She'd never heard that sentence before. A frown marred her face as she opened her mouth to speak. "Excuse me?"
"Would ya like ordering anything hun?" He asked again in a sickly sweet tone. Her frown was almost engraved onto her face. What was he saying?
"I does not speak the English well." Rilla said nervously.
"Do you want food?" He asked in an annoyed tone and a girl from behind the barstand glared at him, making him swallow his words. He then smiled nervously and then asked her to forgive him, which she did with a curt nod.
"I like the.....chickun?" She said blinking. He held back a laugh with a hand over his mouth, and jotted it down before telling her it would be out shortly, she had no idea what that meant, but by the smell coming from the kitchen, it was going to be here soon. The chickun as they called it. He came back out with a grin on his face and leaned against the opposite side of the bar.
"It is chicken." He said so that Rilla would understand.
"I said that. Chickun." She said with her usual harsh accent. He then began to teach her how to say chicken correctly, otherwise...other people would get his own reason to laugh. Which wouldn't be fun if everyone knew. 'OH- mein Gott…can I not get anything correct?' She thought and groaned, muttering to herself in her own tongue.
