When Zephyr walked in the room, Arcia immediately felt sorry for him. Having to go a month without any sort of companionship could be extremely hard on the mind, for human and alien races alike. The news he came with, however, immediately brightened her up. She looked over to her captain who continued after Zephyr was done with his report. Arcia had come to respect everyone in the crew, however it was her captain that had gained the most of her respect. Angela was a very kind woman, almost motherly to her crew, yet she knew when to be stern and when to be lax. She was indeed, the perfect person to take the leader position in this crew.
Arcia was correct in her assumption that something good had happened. A class B planet with similar atmospheric make-up could mean that their mission would end faster than any of them had thought. Happy at the thought, she smiled as the crew was dismissed. Immediately after they were dismissed, she looked over at Dietmar, who rather quickly piped out, "I should probably start analyzing the data that the planet is producing to see what type of plants and animals there is." Arcia knew exactly why he did it, Dietmar was never a fan of examinations, as he needed them constantly. Considering the good news, though, she did not want to ruin his mood and decided to hold off a physical until later, as it was extremely unlikely he had contracted anything in the sterile stasis pod. If he had, he would probably have not woken up with the crew.
Precautions needed to be taken, however. Arcia had already thought of Dietmar earlier. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a bottle of antibiotics, standing up, she walked over to Dietmar, and handed him the case. "You probably know already, but they are antibiotics. Take them quick, while food is still in your stomach. We'll need to do a physical later, but I'm letting you slide for a while." Arcia said, still smiling. Then, another voice rang from behind her, which she recognized as Jazz.
"I'll be in the armory, doing maintenance. Anyone who thinks they need to practice using a firearm, you know where to find me." As much as she wasn't a violent person, the suggestion struck Arcia as practical. If they landed, and discovered hostile alien life, she didn't want to have to rely on the others to cover her. She felt that she should at least relieve some of the worry they may have about her.
Disposing of her mess, Arcia left the mess hall and caught up with Jazz. "I figure it would be a good Idea for me to practice. Right now, I'm hardly able to defend myself with a gun." Her smile never left her face, as she followed Jazz, waiting for a response.
