Default Glass Arena

Welcome To the Glass Arena!
((Sorry people it's full, but others might drop out of the fight or get killed so just pm me if you want to be on the waiting list))

This arena has a diameter of 200 yards long, 200 yards high, and is encased in a unbreakable, transparent glass dome. People watching on the outside could scream and cheer all they want, place bets, or just watch the fun. However, on the inside combatants cannot see through the black glass or hear anything from the outside. One light that is also protected by the unbreakable glass keeps the arena well lit. Small vents on the sides keep the air circulating so smoke and dust clouds last for only a small amount of time. The floor is all sand, traction is ok, and if elementals want to use an attack that will change any part of the arena floor you must ask me first or else! This rule does not count for the five piles of sand, but don’t just destroy them in the first post. Remember the walls are made of unbreakable glass that is a solid black color. The surface of the dome is smooth, and no matter what you throw at the wall, it will not dent, crack, break, scratch or harm it in any way. So for example if combatant Joe sets off a DDD (dooms day device) the dome will not break in any way. Also for people who want to dig under the ground, the dome walls continue under the ground for about 100 yards before you hit a flat glass wall. There are doors that let the combatants inside the arena but they are closed shut once the person is through the door. These doors are not fancy whatsoever, and made of the same material as the dome walls.

Arena battles are a free for all battle for anyone that is in the dome.

COMBATANTS

This is where your imagination is free. You are allowed to be any race or species and can have any (reasonable) powers, and weapons.

People who have magical powers must describe in full what their powers are in there fist post.

Your introduction will start in the 'ready room' where you will prepare and examine your equipment. After you have inspected your items, then you will enter the arena, and not leave unless victorious. You must include these things in your first post so there are no surprises.

Name: (You need one)

Gender: (This is needed to)

Race: (what ever you want)

Appearance: (Only your hight and weight is required)

Weapon(s): (Guns, swords, bows, scythes, turrets, what ever, but no made up spinning chainsaw of flaming doom.)

Age: ( This you need to put in there. No murderous 5 year olds and no grandpas with canes of death. be reasonable.)

Armor/Clothing: (Need to put in.)

Power: (for magic users place your ability here, for others put your specialty here. Your main weapon should relate to your power. For example if Joe had a bow then his power would probably be excellent Archer.)

Other items that you would use in battle: (grenades, traps, smoke bombs, you name it. Again it has to be reasonable and a small item. One person can hold 10 of these small items, no more. For gun users, one of your ten small items will be an ammunition pack with extra packs of bullets, if you run out then find something else to fight with, but don't have unlimited amount of ammo.)

I don’t want people placing only a few of their powers in their first post. If you did not post a power in your first post then your character is not able to perform any other power that you forgot to mention. I can hear it right now, some people are asking. Then how am I going to kill my opponents if they know everything about my character? If the person was a good roleplayer, then their character knows nothing of the other combatants. Your enemies have to be able to figure out the others powers through battling. Have your character make a few mistakes in the beginning until they know what they are really up against. Please don’t do this, “As Sally saw Joe with his t-shirt and baggy jeans, she had a funny feeling that Joe could control water.” Instead do this, “Sally saw Joe with his regular clothes and slightly chuckled. Silently she thought that taking Joe down would be an easy, painless, task.” Your character cant know all the opponents skills and abilities just by looking at them, unless the other opponent has a shirt on saying all of their abilities. I am doing this so others are not killed in the first two posts. So I apologize people, you have to actually be strategical when attacking others, and think of cunning ways to defeat opponents. I know I’m such a terrible person…

Here are some more common rules,

1.) NO GOD MODING (if you do godmode a little then I will ask you nicely to edit your post a bit)

2.)Read all the information I have above!

3.) Follow all the rules!

4.) If I left something out then please tell me! I will not eat you!

5.) Follow all the original rules in the arena sticky

6.)If you have not posted for a week your character will be killed, unless you have been given special permission from me.

7.) I want every combatant to try to have equal power, this is to prevent godmoding and I absolutely despise godmoding

Sorry there is so much stuff here... And if you want to join just create your first post, and I will tell you if it is acceptable or not.

Heres a picture for those that need a visual. Ignore my quickly made picture...

The pile labeled 'sand pile' is now completely glassed over, and a small hole can be found behind it with a mine laying only a few feet away.
The sandpile in the middle has been reduced in size, due to explosion.
The sand pile nearest to the word 'door' has also been reduced in size, due to an explosion.

Frustrated Nyra pulled back her light brown hair and tied it in a small pony-tail. Though you could hardly call the little stub a pony-tail. Looking in the small mirror that was hastily paste to the stone wall, she looked decent enough. Her human, five foot two inches, 130 pound, twenty two year old body was covered in a black gel suit that covered every inch of her skin except for her head. Black bullet proof plates covered her chest and back. The plates also covered the back and front of her upper arms and legs. Though much of the gel was exposed and would tear if abused too much, it was meant for easy flexibility. The whole suit was light weight, and was treated to survive extreme environments. In the middle layer of the gel a electronic nervous system maintained and aided the user and suit in battle. Taking one last breath of fresh air she picked up a pitch black helmet and shoved it over her head. For three seconds she was blind, and cut off from oxygen. Suddenly the helmet turned on and vented air for her to breath. A screen opened up and she could see with perfect clarity the ready room. Her helmet was a beautiful piece of machinery. It could change views to detect heat, and outline feint objects. Objects that were coming in for attack were picked up by the helmet and notified Nyra ahead of time. The helmet also was the main maintainer of the suit and controls all its systems. If it was destroyed, backup systems would open all air vents and unattached its secure hold to the suit, and all her fancy systems would deactivate and become a regular suit. These systems are only to record her movements and help Nyra become hyper aware of her close surroundings.

After all systems were good to go she unattached the long sleek looking sniper that was resting on her back. Quickly she checked the rifle for any scratches or ailments that would hinder the gun useless in battle. Failing to find anything wrong she turned on its scope and read 5/5 loaded, armor piercing bullets. There also was a heat gage on the side that flashed the color green for cool. Nyra would have to be careful with the sniper. If it heated up too much then the rifle would break and melt, so shooting one bullet then waiting a few seconds would be the best thing to do. Turning off the scope she placed on her back and examined her other equipment. One pistol with 35 rounds hung loosely at her side next to a small knife. The knife however was not used as a weapon, because it was only used to open her suit in extreme emergences. On the other side she had three mines that attach to almost any surface and detonate on her voice command, and three regular frag grenades that detonate after five seconds of pulling the pin. There was a small pack on her back that held five extra packs of sniper bullets, and two extra packs of pistol bullets. Satisfied that everything was secure she slowly walked closer to the door.

There was no way she could lie to herself, she was nervous. Even though she was a great shooter with almost perfect marksmanship, she had no idea who she would be battling. Trying to keep the shakiness out of her hands the black glass doors opened automatically. Taking her first step onto the sandy battlefield Nyra searched her surroundings and found no one there. The place was huge and it was like a desert. The whole place was flat and sturdy, and contained five large mounds of sand. The four piles made a square on the perimeter of the circular dome, and the last pile was in the middle. These mountains of sand were around four feet tall and thick enough to stop a pistol round from going all the way through. One was just to the right of her as she put another step in front of the other.

Outside the dome people cheered as the first combatant entered the arena. They were all eager to see an exciting fight.
