Final Fantasy IV OOC
~Cecil~
As the dawn broke in the mighty kingdom of Baron it would find it's King already awake, gazing out from his humble quarters to the mighty castle below, and the city in the distance. He was not surprised to find that he wasn't the only one who greeted the rising sun, the castle was alive with activity in preparations for the guests soon to arrive. Cecil wondered if they truly understood the upcoming event's significance or merely wished to splurge on free ale and meat at the celebration.
Pushing these thoughts from his mind, he gently slipped past his sleeping wife, Rosa, and made his way down the cold hallways towards his throne room. Once there, he was greeted by his advisers, who began telling him of mundane things like costs of the festivities and taxes, making him wish he'd stayed in bed.
~Tilanya~
As the dawn broke over Baron, it would find another soul already awake, but this one far different than that of the commoners and soldiers in the castle. Deep in the forests south west of the town proper, close to the wild chocobo grounds, sat a humble cottage with smoke billowing from it's chimney. Inside sat an old woman, preparing an herbal tea upon the roaring fire. Tilanya Arcanum, one of the more powerful and feared summoners ever to hail from the village Myst. Four years ago, she was the most feared and respected, that was until a young child named Rydia burst onto the scene. Word had reached Tilanya that she had mastered summoned monsters that no other human had even dreamed of, and even lived in the monsters in their land. Tilanya could not confirm this, though she had tried.
As her tea finally bubbled upon the hearth, she glanced out her own window, spying the castle of baron in the distance. She hadn't set foot in the town proper or with the castle walls, but her one contact with the outside world told her that lady Rydia would be arriving in but a few days for some festival. As Tilanya poured her tea she made sure that all her travel gear was arranged. Once the morning's mist had dissipated she would grab one of the many chocobo that lived not far away and ride there, seeking Rydia out among the crowds. It had been years since they had last met, and Tilanya doubted that the young summoner would even remember her.
