"A Pikachu. But I don't want a Pikachu!" Not only did she miss out on getting either a Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur Ari couldn't even get a Meowth as a starter, Prof. Oak said that it wasn't a starter so she couldn't get one and imagine her disappontment when she got stuck with the electric mouse known as Pikachu. "Alright you, I don't like you and you don't like me" Ari was standing infront of Oak's lab with the Pikachu infront of her on the ground, pointing at it, while said Pikachu just looked up at her with a confused stare and cocked its head to the side cutely.

"Don't give me that look" she glared at Pikachu "Pika....Pi?" her glare dropped and she sighed "Fine, you may not be a Meowth, but your still pretty adorable.... C'mon" Ari held out her arm for the Pikachu to climb on and he hopped onto her shoulder "We've gotta think of a name for you" she murmured thoughtfully "How about Chuchi?" Pikachu tested it out "Chu...Pi..." Pikachu shook his head and Ari hmm'd "Okay, how about Sparx" Pikachu's cheeks sparked excitedly and he nodded his head "Pikachu!" Ari laughed "Alright then Sparx, lets stop by my house first, and then we're off to Pewter City!"
