A hooded figure entered the arena, holding a scythe. He was around six-foot, but looked like he was lighter than an average person his height. A small bag was on each side of his hips, suspended by a belt. He pulled back his hood to reveal pure white hair and eyes the color of blood. His name was Riku, he was a spellcaster, but an odd type. He had a natural magical ability, probably due to him having a dragon ancestor somewhere, and had it heightened by an unearthly enity. He now had powerfull fire magic, hellfire as it was, and could create illusions upon people.
Riku knew a great fight was about to ensue, and had not come unprepared. His scythe, though actually uneeded to do magic, could also serve as a formiddable melee weapon aswell. The small tan bags contained runes. 3 were protection runes, which put up a weak sheild, able to deflect a less powerful attack if he wasn't ready or preparing something, 3 were gravity runes, which could make him defy gravity for a very small timespan, and the last was a reality rune. If he used it, it would move an attack to different place in the space time continuum, and he has no control over where. Each of these could only be used once, the "Aces" in his sleeve.
His cloak had intricat eand strange designs on it, they were sliver, contrasting with the black main color. He wore small armour peices over vunerable places of his body, but not all over, because he liked to be able to move quicker. Riku was ready, he was 25 in human years, and more deadly than most people would think. He stepped into the out of the 'ready room' and into the arena. He looked around, a large area, with four huge piles of sand, and there was no escape. Perfect.... He spotted one figure immediantly, a beautiful girl with a bow. Riku wouldn't her looks get to him though, he might be killed in a split second of admiration, so he avoided her gave and quickly ran to one of the sand piles. Riku realized the dome was made out of glass, not a very good holding material, but why was it black? Riku probably would've figured it out if he weren't focused on the fight. A opponent could be anywhere, he couldn't just be sitting here, marveling over the substance and why they used it.
(I really hope thats okay.)
