A.E. IC
A.E. is another sci-fi genre story that takes place after a meteor destoyes the earth and leaves it a barren waste land. Now (2029 A.E. [After Earth]), human survivors that managed to escape the planet in time before doomsday have constructed three major space stations (plus one more on the moon) and multiple industrial stations to harvest a powerful energy resource known as "Dark Matter".
However, an alien race (just as homo-sapien as the people of Earth) have performed raids on Olympian (survivors of Earth) Dark Matter harvesting plants in an attempt to gain the Dark Matter for themselves.
Each faction has powerful tactics, devistating super weapons, classic heroes, and secrets that stretch beyond you sci-fi imagination! This is a blend of Area 51 myths (the Aurora project), classic doomsday stories (death by a meteor), Star Trek/Star Wars scenarios (two races collide in a bloodbath), battles over a valuable recourse (Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars), and the scientific progression of destructive weapons (use your imagination on that one).
This is the OOC thread for A.E. and you're welcome to join in this epic story!
Pre-set Heroes
If you don’t wish to create a character of your own for this story, then you can select from one of the multiple pre-made heroes of both factions.
LSF Supreme Commander Richard “Rick” James- (my character; this is also my profile) (Olympian)
James has led the Luna Strike Fore sense it was create three years before the discovery of the meteor headed towards Earth. He earned the spot when he proved himself in combat as a Delta Force operative in the still ongoing War on Terror. He is 32 years old and stands at 6’0” with brown hair and blue eyes. He sports his usual formal LSF uniform when off duty and prefers the sleek, black and navy blue, spec ops combat uniform of the LSF. His favorite weapon is the AR-39, a standard assault rifle for Olympian military personnel. His favorite vessel is the recently produced Echo Aurora. The new design sports an extremely hard-to-detect stealth function; plus, it packs a more devastating punch than the Alpha Aurora by carrying two compact 20-kiloton warheads. The warheads are specially design to pierce through the thickest of Zeroth armor. The stealth capabilities of the Echo Aurora include active camouflage, silent engines, and radar jamming equipment. Commander James has claimed the only vessel of its kind.
Major Carl “Havoc” Peterson (Olympian)
Havoc has a discrepancy for the quiet. He prefers to enlighten himself with the “Big Bang” theory and watch things go boom. The Major has brought down countless numbers of Zeroth vessels by using high-yield explosives and the Alpha Auroras to deliver them at four times the speed of sound. When he catches the enemy off guard, he loves to exploit it. His hell-raising tactics have earned him beautiful women, a pissed off captain, and a sense of pride and glory far beyond that of King Ramses’. Even though he can seem like a pompous jerk that likes to just blow everything up, he can be quite the charmer and also an understanding man whenever his people call him to serious action. Zula Saphire (Zeroth)
Zula’s underhanded and sneaky tactics differ greatly from the Zeroth philosophy of guerilla warfare. However, her skills behind enemy lines have given her race a great advantage by throwing the Olympians off guard. Her rank stands unknown to Olympian intelligence reports, but be forewarned that she is definitely a dangerous adversary when confronting her face-to-face. She is an expert in Zeroth martial arts and can easily take down enemy infantry in a few swift kicks. Her hacking skills allow her to bypass both Olympian and LSF security measures to gain access to vital intelligence or other valuables that the enemy of the Zeroth would not want to get out in the open. [This character’s physical traits may be modified]
Morgan Vay (Zeroth)
Morgan makes for a considerable foe in long range combat. His skills of sniping out the enemy undetected has earned him the highest honor in marksmanship, the “Dead-Eye Medallion”. He wears this golden chain around his neck and tucks the medal itself underneath his armor. He flashes it whenever he’s hanging around a Zeroth lounge. Morgan takes a lot of pride in himself and boasts about his accomplishments whenever he gets a chance. But in the midst of battle, his attitude dramatically changes and he becomes a different person entirely. Morgan Vay carries with him a special transmitter device that, when activated, allows him to summon a Zeroth Spectra Gunship that will run circles around it’s target, unleashing everything it has at the victim. The gunship has enough ammunition for about fifteen seconds of pure hell. To the poor soul having to run for cover, that fifteen seconds may seem like an eternity. Morgan only uses this transmitter whenever the situation calls for desperate measures. [This character’s physical traits may be modified]
Those are all of the pre-set heroes I have created for now. If a pre-set hero is not chosen to be played then the character will appear later as a non-playable character (NPC). If you wish to construct your own character, then I discourage typical profiles. Instead, create a short bio like the ones I have for the pre-sets. Include basic descriptions of who they are, some of their history, some skills, etc.
