Commander James was sitting in the Congressional Chamber of the Olympus Capital Sector. Each of the three primary stations were divided into sectors. The Capital Sector (which was located on Olympus, the governing space station) was located at the top. Congress was about to pass a bill that would allow for the Luna Strike Force to freely operate their Ion Particle Beam Cannon, or IPBC for short. Rick had to attend, obviously, since he was the Supreme Commander of the LSF. It wouldn't make any sense not to.

Rick found himself falling asleep during the speeches and wished they would just hurry up and sign the damn thing. It was all chaotic, although it was formal. Even after the destruction of Earth, "red tape", it seemed, was still a common thing among the politicians. Rick often found himself wondern why in the world the LSF bothered to save the world leaders first. Most of them were corrupt, pompous jack asses who would only screw mankind over once they were in space.

The final speech was comming to an end. Senator Kelly Johnson was ending her conclusion. It was easy to tell that she wanted to end with a bang, but it was more like an alarm....literally. The Red Alert was sounding and the lights were flashing on the ceiling. The bell toned over and over in Rick's ears and everybody in the chamber seemed to break into an immediate panic. Olympus was under attack.

The Red Alert echoed in Rick’s mind as he raced for the East docks at the station. The Zeroth finally decided that they had had enough of attacking Olympian harvesters and decided to go for the bull’s eye itself. A small Zeroth fleet of command ships was approaching the East sector and soon they would unleash their hoard of fighter vessels upon the station. The alert was quick to gain the attention of the Olympian forces. LSF was also already breaking into action. Their Alpha Auroras were taking off from the lunar station not too far from the primary stations themselves.

Rick pressed in the launch codes and the Echo Aurora fired up. He waited for his co-pilot, NCO Brigadier Nathan Long, to run up and jump in. Rick knew that he surely heard the alarm, but then again he may not even be on Olympus. He decided he couldn't wait.

Rick pressed in the launch codes and the Echo Aurora fired up. The supersonic engines flared to life as the jet hovered above the dock. As soon as he pushed forward on the controls, the jet took off at high speed; through the oxygen barrier at the other end of the docking station. Commander James had just entered the action and he was itching to take out some Zeroth fighter vessels.

“Need a wingman, Commander?” said a voice over the comm. It was Sergeant Charlie White. He had and Rick had been friends for quite a while and White was always his wingman in battle.

“Sure thing, Charlie. Keep those fighters off my tail. I’m going for the big bitch herself.” Rick kicked it into high gear and his wingman did the same. Rick was aiming for the flag ship of the fleet, leading at the front. If he could lodge at least one of his warheads into that thing, then he would give an instant victory to Olympus.
