True Rook would have had no time to react had he waited until the attack was luanched but as the copies appeared and in the middle of Chelsea's speech Rook's body pulsed a very similar energy accept that it was a more light like energy. This was intended to wipe out all but the real Chelsea. It didnt work but the barrier did serve a purpose of blocking the other energy attacks. (I'm not going to dictate them disipated but merely stopped, since these attacks could have other technicallities you havnmt revealed yet so the field is still there and unless you say otherwise so are the tear drop attacks, basically it's a clash so to speak)
