Veda smiled. She had heard of Moon River before, yet she had never traveled this far north since she began her own wandering shop. She didn't know much of the history of this place, but she always enjoyed learning tidbits about the areas to which she ventured. It was a nice exchange as well as receiving payment for her herbs and potions. She always loved to learn about the towns and villages around her.
"Moon River. I've heard of it before," she reached up to her wool hood and pulled it off, revealing her pale skin with some freckles on her nose and cheeks, and eyes that were such a clear blue that they were almost white. Her dark curls of brown hair framed her face nicely. She noted that the woman's hands were worn from hard work in the gardens. She gave a sweet smile to the woman.
"I sell herbs and remedies throughout this area. If you are interested, I can show you what I have. Oh, forgive me. My name is Veda." She inclined her head a bit, a sign of recognition to the woman. She would never curtsy to another woman of middle-class status; formal greetings were reserved for high priestesses and the more noble witches in her hometown, Saithael. She gave proper respect to those priests and higher individuals of other religions of course, even if she did not believe in their Gods. She had been brought up to acknowledge that every creature and plant has a spirit of it's own and there were multiple gods that governed over them. The one and only Goddess herself reigned over humans and showed them through their destined paths; not a God. Not to Palus. In her religion, woman were not the weaker gender, as many other religions taught. The Goddess was a higher being than any other God, for she is the Mother of All.
