"Exactly what were you watching while you were eating popcorn?" she asked taking her seat on the bridge and grabbing up a handful of the buttery treat from the bowl.
Zephyr didn't want to say. He was supposed to be scanning for new planets, not watching a movie. It was mere luck that the computer saved his feathers and did the scan itself.
"Um," he muttered, trying to think of a movie not so embarrassing, but he leaned on the captain's char to see if it was still running but paused, and he accidentally hit the play button. The corner of the screen played his movie once more.
"I can't fight it anymore. I ran away from you once. I can't do it again. Oh, I don't know what's right any longer. You have to think for both of us. For all of us!" a woman on the screen swooned.
"All right, I will. Here's looking at you, kid."
"I wish I didn't love you so much!"
Zephyr frantically hit the stop button on the arm of the chair and his feathers on his neck stood higher than before.
"Um, that was a preview?" he said uncertainly.
