True, but we are starting as if they have not chosen a permanent mate yet. They are recovering from the lost of many pack mates to the attack. So following the first heat, in game, most would have chosen mates with the thought in mind to make it a lasting bond. Its not going to be just a free for all, but this gives players in the thread a chance to get to know one anothers characters and then select a mate who will remain with them throughout the rest of the rp. Trust me I know about werewolves and how they are monogamous, but they still have to answer to their wolf side as well so they would go into heat during the prime time in which to have offspring.
