Biography; Born to a slightly out of touch family, from his first visit to a large city, Hari was fascinated with the technology of the soldiers. Every now and then, a soldier would be amused and give him a tiny bit of information. Over a few visits, he knew enough to build a small machine. By age twenty-one, he was interested in weapons, and built a error prone basic flamethrower. It was inneffective, needed to be half full to even be used, had a limit of about two feet, and weighed more than the Elf himself.
Over the years, his weapons increased in quality and decreased in size, till one could mistake him for a hitman if they took a look at all of his weapons. By age fifty, he had refined his flamethrowers to the point where he could use a small, three inch directed flame (often for repairs), or a single burst of flame going up to two feet as a weapon in his arm mounted flame throwers. As you might have guessed, Hari was a bit of a pyromaniac. If only due to this, he developed a large flamethrower that was stored on his back, giving him a slightly hunchbacked look, till he got it spread out. When Hari turned 70, he began exploring other miniature weapons, such as darts. By diping darts made of certain elements in certain chemicals, Hari could make a deadly close combat weapon, or use them as bolts for miniature crossbows. That possibility occured to him only after he found the most damaging combonations.
By age eighty, he learned of other engineers like himself, and of the fact that some of them would steal technology. At first, he was outraged by this, and hunted a few down, but when he found how beneficial this information was, he became one of these technology bandits, though focusing on bandits and engineers loyal to Valcenz. He has further refined his weapon designes, to the point where he can funnel fuel from his main tank to the flamethrowers on his arms, though the refilling is not automatic. His crossbows, on the other hand, could be loaded with the press of a button. However, as a pyromaniac should, he keeps several daggers that can burst into flame by pushing down on a small hollow space in the bottom of the dagger hilt. this usually lasts for only a second or two, but is still very painful. He is currently working on a way to capture or simulate lightning.
Though he has nothing against Valcenz on a personal level, the lure of the advanced technology is too great for him resist, and the engineers under Valcenzes control tend to be rather greedy about their findings.
Since i'm don't remember if the elves in this are the normal long lived ones, or live about the same amount of time, i'll assume its the first.
A bit of a warning. I will probably be switching between third and first person. Its a bad habbit i have, but i find that sometimes third person is better than first, and vice versa.
