He isn't waiting long when he hears the flashbang hit something, not the white tile floor like he had anticipated but something else. The sound was like metal on metal, almost like an aluminum bat hitting a hallow metal pole. Before he can decipher what exactly happened he sees it floating in the air and coming straight at him. Sylus knows there isn't enough time to grab the flashbang and heave it back, he would just blind himself and possibly lose a hand. He pitches himself forward, pushing off with his injured leg in pain. The bullet throbs inside of him, forcing a near limp as he scuttles across the floor and jumping onto the counter. Behind him he hears the distinct sound he had hoped for earlier as the conister smacks against the tile flooring followed by a small, but loud explosion. The 180 dB SPL is well over the 85 dB needed to deafen a person. Sylus can hear nothing, except for a lighting ringing in his ears and a muffled sound of something undistinguishable. Any closer and his ear drums may have burst.

Now on the counter his enemy is plain and visible, cowering behind the car. The scalpel hit its mark, like most she probably didn't realize the extent of the wound, thanks to the surgical precision of the scalpels they often felt less painful despite still being serious wounds. The wound, even though not extremely deep would continue bleeding for several hours if not attended to.

With the explosion still ricocheting behind him, the deaf doctor squeezes the trigger, pumps and squeezes again directly at the crouching bitch. The two blasts sail to her in a consecutive arc. Sylus hears nothing from the blasts of fire in front of him as the barrel explodes in anger at the woman.
