(These concepts are from a short story I was writing)
Cold morning mists drifted sleepily over glistening silvery plains. Freezing winds, blown at sluggish speeds along the surface of the terrain, chilled the ground, making it slippery and unpredictable. Any living thing with even a hint of common sense had hidden away for the time being.
The brownies, in general, had no common sense.
Burrowing deep in the ground, the three-inch-tall brownies of Goodknife Den led joyful lives, eating acorns, collecting acorns, and running from preditors. There was always enough food to go around.
Except in times of winter. And it was in the dead of the times of winter when Eric Graysword was born.
On top of this, the human villages had started to consider brownies a major pest, and forms of extermination were at hand.

Appearance:
Description: Eric is a young brownie with a temper. He enjoys collecting acorns, but he is fairly small, so he does not ever participate is clan fights.
Background: Eric was born to a small burrow in the deeper areas of the Den. He lives with his mother, but his was killed long ago by humans.
