That's because medics aren't supposed to carry weapons at all. However, since the ISDF was started to counter insurgents and rebels, they've taken a more flexible view on the medic's position, since the people they're most used to fighting ignore the general rules of war anyway.
Also, we have a full complement now, so I'll explain how this'll work. I'll be playing the Staff as well as any NPCs that'll be coming into play, kinda like a GM. The Staff has a terminal that kinda tells him what the hell's supposed to be going on, as well as intel can provide, anyway. He's the CO for the mission, as there's only the one team going down. His CO for this is, stationed aboard the Nebuchadnezzar, is Lt. Commander Jason Sibley, who answers directly to General Armond Braddock. Most of that will be covered in my first IC post.
As for what probably will be a frequently asked question: Yes, Angel's character is a lieutenant. No, she doesn't outrank Kerr. Kerr is a Marine Staff Sergeant, while McGarril is a Navy pilot. She's flying us in, but she's under Kerr's command for the remainder of the mission or until Sibley says otherwise.
Any other questions should be pmed or posted in the OOC thread. IC starts now. All other OOC posts should be typed accordingly.
