-- HIMOTO III --
A wealthy and commercially based ecumenopolis in the north east 3rd sphere, third planet in the Himoto system. It is a haven for traders, and the crowded skies of Himoto are a shining symbol of the CDS as a trader nation. The sheer quantity of wealth that flows into Himoto III is taxed heavily, making the citizens some of the wealthiest and prestigious in the known galaxy. Not only does it appeal to traders, but adventurers and explorers too, often being considered the gateway into the 4th sphere. The leaders of Himoto III give economic aid towards the non-mining development of the north-eastern 4th sphere, sometimes bringing them into direct conflict with mining consortiums who seek to exploit the workers there. Leaks from the CDS government have suggested that Himoto III's aid efforts are to be cut off in favor of increased mining activity in the north-eastern 4th sphere.
-- GER'MONTE --
A dead world in the east 3rd sphere. Though there are no permanent settlers, the space surrounding Ger'monte is flooded with resource-rich asteroids, attracting the attention of many powerful mining firms and a huge influx of miners. It is statistically the largest source of raw materials in the 3rd sphere, but this is still nothing when compared to such seen in the north-eastern 4th sphere. In high orbit around the planet is a major military installation, placed there as a base for military operations against rebel factions in the south-eastern 4th sphere. Ger'monte's facilities have experienced multiple rebel raids and terrorist attacks in it's past, so the military presence is welcomed and even celebrated as a reprisal from these threats. Minor refugee habitations have appeared soon after the military based itself here, but the majority still migrate to the Grand Echelon planets.
-- EDGE --
An arid mining colony in the north-east 4th sphere, located on the edge of civilised space. The predominant cybrate population works mainly in mining, extracting and refining great swaths of raw material from the planet and the asteroids surrounding it. The refined materials are then exported via hyperspace to a resource pool at Ger'monte, moving through the scrutiny of the corporate bureacracy before arriving finally at the Grand Echelons for processing into usable components. The people of Edge are subject to both raids by the FreeRavagers (the FreeRavagers are an elusive group of pirates based outside of CDS space) and careless exploitation by mining consortiums, meaning a fairly large percentage of social deviants originate from this planet as a consequence of their hardened lifestyles. Edge and the surrounding territories recieve economic aid from wealthy trader worlds such as Himoto III to improve living standards, however this aid is sometimes opposed by mining consortiums operating in the sector, arguing instead that the money should be used to improve mining facilities.
-- AUGORO --
Located on the edge of civilisation, Augoro is a terran planet housing a society living in terror. The south-east 4th sphere is a sector rife with rebels and pirates, leaving only a few worlds politically stable, the most prominent being Augoro. Protecting traders on the main hyperspace route is a constant struggle for the CDS Navy, and it is only a matter of time before Augoro is evacuated completely. For now however, it's rare crystal deposits are too valuable to abandon, even at the expense of civilians. The planet has become a stratocracy to replace a vanishing political structure, and the military protects the planet, prevents a mass exodus and ensures the continued mining of the planet's resources until revenues run dry. Human smuggling between Augoro and Hyte is commonplace, providing an escape from the conflict.
