Basic Information
Setting: The game is in a modern-fantasy setting, I.E. domesticated homes, takes place around the year 2011.
Weapons: Weapons range from Medieval Swords to shotguns. Go crazy, just nothing too incredibly WTFOMGBBQ (like rayguns and disintegration guns)
Clothing/Armor: Same as above.
The World
In the Fallen there are eight servers, each maintained separately and with their own moderating teams. All the servers are modern-fantasy based, each one with its own unique landscapes, cities, and build. There are relatively few similarities between the eight servers, the most significant being the existence of the Hall of Warriors in each server, where all players begin their journey in the exact center of the map. On some servers, such as Mer, the Hall is on its own, lone island and players are given a boat to reach continents or other islands.
The land masses that make up the servers are entirely randomly generated, and not even the Developers know everything that is out on the map; leaving some discovery to the players, making it more fun for people to play.
The list of servers is below, and the name generally reflects the known aspects of the server.
- Terre (Earth) - Very similar to our own Earth, however there are different land masses.
- Mer (Sea) - A world with a large ocean and many seas.
- Īles (Islands) - Similar to Mer, however there are several islands.
- Seule (One [Land]) - There is only one continent discovered as of now, however its boundaries have not been discovered.
- Froid (Cold) - An Arctic climate!
- Jouer ([Role] Play [Server]) - A server dedicated to Roleplaying! Otherwise, it's essentially Terre.
- Abri (Homeless) - Essentially, the same as Terre, except there are only Player-Cities and the Hall of Warriors as safe-places.
- Sombre (Dark) - A darker world with harder monsters and an eerie atmosphere.
Player's Rights
Players have the rights to do a number of things without any level requirement that do not pertain to combat; they are as follows.
1. Create a Player City on unsettled land. Player cities are limited to one per person and will expand as they are settled.
2. Create a cottage or home on unsettled land, or settled land with local government permission. Homes are unlimited to each player, however they must be able to maintain taxes as well as home maintenance for all of their buildings.
3. The right to buy and sell, creating a stall in any public area; however, it is illegal to block major paths with stalls and most cities will only allow you to market in specified areas; this is the case for all Game-Created-Cities.
4. The right to change servers at any time in any place, however upon changing servers you will be transferred to the Hall of Warriors, the beginning area.
(That's it for now, 'til I think of something else)
The Stats
Character Classes
Classes in THE FALLEN are all basic, but once the character is skilled enough, their class can evolve or continue on its path. When a character's class evolves, they keep their level. There is also De-Evolution, which can be used to go to a previous class, and can be used at any time. This can also be used to access a new class you did not have before once you have reached your 2nd Class Evolution (I.E. a Captain who evolved into Warlord could de-evolve into Swordsman or Swashbuckler.) Once you reach level 50 of your tree, you may de-evolve into the other two classes on your side, however not on the other side of the web. Once you reach level 100 of your tree, you can travel the entirety of it freely, however you may not switch to the other tree; the two trees together form a Web. The Web will serve as a basis for all your classes. Characters may switch to the other tree at any time, however they will begin as Level 1. You may switch back and still hold your level, same for switching back and forth. Once players reach level 10, they may multi-class with the other tree, however their second class will only be half the level of their primary class, regardless of what level it was before; however, the limitation for your multi-class is that you only gain XP for your primary tree and since the second class is half of your current level, you must be level 100 to unlock the level 50 class, and you may not unlock the Level 100 class, as the level cap is 100. Too confusing?
Note: All characters in the RP will begin with a basic class. I don't want anyone being introduced as a Warlord or something in their first post. Not yet anyway. This notice will be removed when I do not give a ****.
Soldier - A balanced class that focuses on gunned attacks, but has some melee skills.
Captain - A ranged-focused class with defense bonuses.
Warlord - An all-around balanced class with several melee and ranged skills.
[blockquote]
Swordsman - A strong, melee based fighter with exceptional strength bonuses.
Swashbuckler - A swordplay based class with some ranged attacks. This class is fairly balanced.
Priest - A religious preacher whom buffs citizens as well as heals them; they level up by praying and preaching.
Follower - A religious follower whom levels up by praying and preaching.
Elemental Artist - A master martial artist who uses his fluid movements to manipulate elements around him.
Martial Artist - A master of the arts of karate! These martial masters know a variety of hand-to-hand combat moves as well as bludgeoning (staffs and sticks) abilities.
Ranger - Guns, bows, arrows. Three things Rangers love! Rangers are trained to fight with nothing more than weapons with ammunition! Useless in close combat, sure, but in a battle, do you want to be the guy with the gun or the pointy stick?
Archer - Archers are Rangers whom focus on the use of Bows & Arrows. Their speed and accuracy is somewhat scary!
Lyricist - Beautiful voice sending troopers to victory, Lyricists use their wonderful singing voice to heal and strengthen.
Bard - Playing their instrument proudly, Bards march into battle just to play a war song for their fellow troops, giving them the will to go on!
Telemarketer - You pull out a cell phone and start calling people to sell them things. Each time you call someone you get EXP! More boring than it sounds.
Merchant - A boring old trader; they level up by selling things and their experience goes up over time by selling and they gain EXP when an item is purchased.
The Species
Species are what they sound like- the different creatures available for play. You can pick one of these, and through an in-game system, genetically evolve or de-evolve into a species. They are in Evolutionary Order, but you can start with any.
HUMAN - Humans, like you and me. Majority of players pick this. They have balanced stats and are the first stage in the Species Evolution that is playable. Most of their stats are balanced, but their defense is low due to the fact that they are squishy "meatbags."
ELF - The first evolution of Humans, whom are basically Humans with pointy ears. They also live longer than Humans. They have more int. geared stats than Humans.
DWARF - The second evolution of Humans. They are essentially extremely short elves. They have more strength-based stats than Elves.
HUMA - The third evolution of Humans. Humas are Humans, Elves, or Dwarves with Animal DNA fused with theirs. They have evolved into animal-human hybrids. Their stats are geared toward agility and defense.
ANI - The fourth evolution of Humans. Anis are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, or Humas with extreme amounts of animal DNA injected to them, turning them into a near complete animal, the only notable human characteristics being thumbs, vocal cords able to produce the English language, and human intelligence. Their stats are balanced.
MUTA - The fifth evolution of Humans. Mutas are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Humas, or Anis whom have been mutated into something not classified. This could be as simple as green skin or as advanced as becoming a gelatinous blob of mucus. Their stats reflect this in a way.
ROBA - The sixth and final evolution of Humans. Robas are any of the other evolutions of Humans that have been transformed into robotic beings, whether fully or partially. This reflects with high defense and intelligence.
Enemies
This is the enemy catalog. It lists every enemy NPC that has been encountered in THE FALLEN by our characters. CURRENTLY, NONE.
