( Thanks for taking interest in the SL. I'll wait for more recruits before I truly begin, but while I have time I'll detail the Standard UESMC combat suit. )
Over-all The UESMC newest model of the Sword combat suit is a marvel of engineering. It is made up of hypercompressed layers of gradually thickening polymers. In contrast to previous models, the newest models inner interior is that of a softer and much more comfortable material. The suit, in overview, is made up of varying degrees of 'scales' of this material. Though they do not take on the usual elipse shape, but rather a hexagonal pattern, it is designed to recoil not only bullets and shrapnel, but assist in avoiding damage produced by bladed weaponry, even though the 'blade' is considered heavilly outdated. The suit is considered full body, despite the lack of a helmet.
Depending upon the position of the marine, the suit has many modifications available for it's use and workings.
For the standard rifleman there are advanced armor and even agility upgrades, allowing for more streamlined movement and easier adjustability of the 'scale tension ' .
For the Radioman, there are a few built in modifications, such as a heat modifier to allow the outside core temperature to be read below zero, giving the body a 'frozen' appearance of heat sensors. Along with this come short burst of 'invisibility', which causes the scales of the suit to replace their usual shading with a prism like material which has it's over all coloring determined by a set of varying lights throughout the entire body. Making our Techs into modern day chameleons, but only for a short time. One to two minute intervals are usual the max for the chameleon ability. This suit also has an expanded agility that outweighs that of most of the other models.
For the Scout, The suit over-all can be modified to have 'active camoflauge' which creates a varying pattern upon the surface of the suit, the suit is almost mirror like, reflecting the surroundings in an indirect way, making the UESMC suit blend in near perfectly. The suit has a much, much higher agility rating than the standard suit and as a downside, the armor ratings are much lower. The suit has a partially scaled appearance, the sides of the torso and the underside of the arm all appear, naturally, as a black solid piece, but with the camoflauge adjustment, they blend in just as easilly.
For the Gunner, The suit has an over-all upgrade to armor that far surpasses all others, advanced targetting systems allows the gunner's helmet to contain heat vision, night vision, ambient viewing [ which allows one to see the path of a suspect] and various other enhancements. The joints of the suit are heavilly increased, creating a lack of mobility, but allowing for the use of much more powerful weaponry, including some of the more advanced rifles of the UESMC.
For the Long gunner, This UESMC suit is deemed as the " Enigma " suit. It has some of the blessings of most of the suits, it has a highly increased agility factor and it has a camoflauge system that works continuously as long as the user is perfectly motionless. The suit has a lockdown function, which allows for the marine to lock their position and force themselves to remain still. This suit has various heat control functions and various other radar dampening abilities. The shoulder and knee joints are especially reinforced to handle the strain of the standard issue long rifle.
It is highly commong for UESMC recruits to where their BDUs over their combat suits in the early runnings. Or even to take on the various covers of their suits. Which allow them to modify the texture of the 'scaley' appearance to anything they may wish, while not interfering with the workings of the suit. ( Meaning, You don't have to be scaley, you can use UESMC covers to make the suit as you please and still maintain the same abilities. )
