Grid intertwined her fingers, then pushed them away, eliciting several satisfying cracks, then her fingers flew over one of the various keyboards at the console. One of the monitors that was normally dedicated to displaying Matrix coding flickered for a moment, bringing up instead a somewhat blocky, low-framerate video of a temple. One man, in a red kimono, was walking up the steps to its entrance, and she briefly glanced over at a set of reclined chairs where one of the crew lay back. A few more brief keystrokes, and an enemy - one of her creations - appeared inside the simulation.

Despite the precise series of rules for simulating every aspect of physics, they always found a way to bend those rules. In some way, she envied those that could jack in; the ability to learn just about anything nearly instantly, the chance to escape the harsh reality of the real world, even if it was just for a quick sparring session.
She shook her head for a moment, then looked back to the screen. This should be interesting... she thought, deciding to just enjoy watching the session.
