I was a part of an RP site that had a separate forum for character templates and it was a hassle. First of all, the character had to be approved and filled out correctly or the mod wouldn't accept it and only the mod could actually insert it into the forum which is a lot of hassle for everyone. Also, to see the character template, you have to navigate to a different page. If you have to navigate to a different page to see every individual character that's a lot of time and work instead of just scrolling down one or two pages to see everyone's character grouped in one place.

And like its been mentioned, the stories on here vary from being on Earth in normal, present time to being on planet Gartfid in the year 7787. If this was an RP site where the stories had one sole focus and time period, a character sheet would be a great idea but because every story is different and every character is different having a separate forum for character sheets is somewhat pointless. Besides, thats what the OOC is for.

I can see how it might work on other sites, and if you want to do the battle forum I can see how having a character forum would be helpful. The two ideas seem to be tied into each other and it does make sense but I don't think a character template forum would be very helpful in any RP stories other than a battle arena forum which rouge47 says got shot down by the majority of players on this site.
