"Don't feel too terrible about what has happened. Kalib will survive... Merion had learned his lesson.... I hope. And Halt will find reason to fight once again. Once you tell him about what happened to you..." Klassh lifted his great head and looked to where Brisinger was and Merion. "You might want to thank the hot headed boy as well.... He has been quiet since the battle..."
Adriana looked to the left of them, where Klassh was speaking to her while he rested his head on the ground. For the first time, Klassh seemed tired to her. “I'll do all of that tomorrow,” She promised, wishing still that Klassh would just tell Halt what had happened instead of herself. Didnt he understand how hard it was for her to even think about what had happened at Vanthm's castle?
“Tomorrow.” She repeated it to herself, to confirm in her mind that she would in fact talk to Halt about it the next day. Or...whenever he woke up.
Adriana stood up and moved to the opposite side of the bed of where Halt was laying, then she curled up at the very edge of the matress to sleep. She wanted to give him his space, so she kept as far as possible. She didnt need a blanket, since the warm breath of Klassh hovered into the room and heated the area for her.
