Corporal Graywood, Gamma Squad's pointman, sat tightly secured in one of the seats clsoest to the King Raven's door. He had no love for heights, and probably wouldn't make a good door-gunner, but it was probably the smartest place to put the squad's point-man. He'd be at the front of the squad when they deployed, where he was meant to be. However, he wasn't focused on the long fall to his death on some empty Jacinto street, or where they'd be deploying for their mission, but on the Chairman's speech. He thought it was a damn good one. Apparently he wasn't the only one who thought so; John could hear the cheering of those on the city streets and in the nearby King Ravens. Hell, it wouldn't be as easy as the Chairman made it out to be, the C.O.G was outmanned, outgunned, the odds were against them; and the Corporal knew this, but John the war would be lost just as easily if humanity didn't make any moves. He was excited, this'd be his first actual time in a combat situation, other than dragging wounded out of the burning C.O.G hospital he was to guard.

Then, Darius explained their mission. It wasn't nearly as glorious as invading the Hollow itself, but someone had to do it. They'd be helping the assault derricks on their way to the drill sites near the small town of Landown by destroying some "seeders" and their "nemacysts". John had heard of them but never encountered either, they were described as being just as monstrous as the other Locust warmachines but he couldn't really remember what it was they did. So, despite knowing he'd sound like an idiot, Johnathan spoke up, "So.. er.. what's a Seeder.. sir?" He shifted his Longspear RPG off of his lap, leaning it against the bench as he looked around at his squad-mates.
