Oh yea... a rookie. Lucas liked rookie's. It gave him a chance to impress them with all kinds of crazy shit, like, for example, Seeders and Nemecyst. He smiled at the rookie for a moment before leaning outside the helicopter and looking up to make sure the setting was right, with the swarms upon swarms of Nemicyst littering the sky like a thousand vultures. Only these vultures exploded on impact or death, and they had a momma that pumped them out as fast as a teen celebrity wished they could.
He roughly grabbed the rookie's right shoulder and pulled him partially out of the helicopter, half to scare him for fun, half to teach him a lesson. He made sure the rook was looking up in the sky before he began yelling to make sure he could hear him dispite the powerful chopping sound of the King Raven's making a sound like dozens of flies floating around a dead corpse, which wasn't too innaccurate since soon there would be a couple of dead Corpser's at some point in the battle. Sometimes he wondered how these stupid things got their names.
"See that, rook?"
He spoke of the nearly black sky, sun blocked by the thousands of nemycyst, pulling him back into the helicopter to look him in the eyes, grinning.
"Those are nemycyst... Seeder's are even more fun."
He liked scaring rookie's. Especially since you don't get to enjoy them for long. They always get killed the first mission. He'd had at least seven rookie's die on him, each one dying for some dumb reason. Someone told him a hilarious story that he heard out of Delta Squad after Fenix got back in the game where a rookie was shot right in the head while complaining about a jammed gun. Stories like that made Lucas chuckle a bit.
In his own experience, rookie's died on him for even stupider reasons. Throwing a grenade in and rushing the building to early only to be blown up by their own grenade that hadn't gone off. Messing with the Lancer chainsaw and getting his throat cut open when he accidently left the safety off in his sleep. Another decided it would be a good idea to use the sniper rifle when Lucas ditched it, and as soon as he lifted it up he got a bullet between the eyes. The best of them all, though, was when one of the rook's was chasing a Wretch in some building with a shotgun and he tripped and when he found them, he was headless with a wretch eating the pieces of brain and skull stuck to the ceiling.
He hoped this one would make it a bit longer then the others. They where good fun.
