Merion squated down, his face redder than an apple, sweat dropping down his face. His swords in his hands, Brisingrs tail whipped around infront of him. *Come on!* Brisingr growled into Merions mind, laying in the same spot he was that night. The end of Brisingr's tail was harder than rock and could withstand the impact of a blade. Merion stared at the two blades he held in his hands, Halt's present on the day they both fought Vanthm.
*I SAID COME ON!* Brisingr lashed the tail at Merion, who instinctivley rolled to his left, avoiding the tail. "Gotta be faster than that..." He growled outloud to Brisingr, who pulled his tail back torward Merion who jumped over it with ease. Brisingr pulled his tail back, working the end of it like a sword, *Ready...?* He asked, but didn't gain a response. Merion slowly stepped backward, crouched down with both blades out infront of him. Brisingr shot his tail at Merions chest, and he immedtiately parried it away though it threw him off balance. "BITCH!" He yelled, feeling his balance leave him. *GOTCHA!* Brisingr roared, slamming his tail into Merions chest, knocking him to the ground, hard. The ground shook as his tail made impact with the ground, knocking the breath out of Merion in the process.
This had been going on for the past 4 hours, though Merion had been doing fairly well... but he was losing energy pretty quickly. Brisingr raised his tail, Merion immediately turning over on his stomach and getting on his hands and knees, coughing like a 10 year smoker. "Think you broke a rib this time..." Merion shot out in between breaths, feeling a throbing pain around his sternum. *Wha wha whaaaaaa* Brisingr said childlishly, smacking Merion on the side of his head with his tail. *Get up... got some more to do...* Brisingr loathingly added, drawing circles in the dirt with his gargantuan claw.
Merion stood up, and the same thing would go on over and over again, though he didn't get knocked down quite as often, getting a second wind.
