Five hours later they arrived at Canyon City. If you excluded the elf city, it was the most beautiful, sophisticated city of all Pangea. It was built into the Canyon,most of the buildings and streets were made out of solid rock and was smoothly polished from the many years of feet walking over it. Also because there were many large sandstorms that past through the area. The basic layout of the City was that the houses and buildings got progressively larger and taller as you walked deeper into the city, and in the center of the city was the largest market place you could ever imagine. Everything was sold there, from apples to zayglne, which was a type of pastry, and is only made in here. Most of the streets were long and narrow because this way if there was a raid, Valcenz soldiers would not be able to group together like they usually did to rob innocent people. This was probably the only city where people did not have to fear constant raids from the chess pieces, especially the bishops and knights. One of the great things about this city was, mostly everything was cheap to get, unless you wanted information. Information in this city was the most powerful thing you could have, it was also the most expensive and the most dangerous. However, because the city is so large, for transportation everyone used overlanders (kind of a crossbreed, long legs like an ostrage, no wings, two arms with three claws each, scales, and runs like a race horse, with a tail)
Derek looked upon the city with wonder. It felt great to be back again, he though as he gazed at the city with a small smile. He had spent most of his teenage life in Canyon City and knew most of the people here. He had always felt safe here for some reason, he never knew why though. He took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air. He shifted his pack, moving it to a more comfortable position on his shoulder.
"It is good to be back again. The inn is only ten minutes away, and we will all finally be able to sleep, and take a bath." Thinking that Laeris would enjoy being clean after ten days of walking in that dessert. He was eager to get to the inn and sleep but he knew that Hatori would be waiting for him when he got there. "Tomorrow will should stock up on supplies and get our weapons sharpened, I know a great blacksmith that works in the market."
