"I'm Blanche..." She shook the girl's hand and turned back to George with an optimistic look taking over her face. "...and I hope to really make a new life out in California now."

She opened up her bag and revealed a few dollars she saved up over the past years. It was more then enough to help them for a bit.

"My husband left some money for me. Maybe this can help us on our way."
