Default Van Hellsing Detective Agency IC

The agency is hiring. We need new players. Visit the OOC please.

Aimee shivered as she lay on a cot beside numerous others like her. They were all, for one reason or another, displaced, homeless, cold and hungry like she was. She had taken refuge in the Saint Anthony's Shelter for the night. They had welcomed her and fed her and she could only be thankful to them. She had never slept with so many others before. She tried to ignore the smell and the repeated coughs from most of the shelter's patrons.

She cried but she tried to keep as silent as possible. She missed being home but her mother would kill her now. Her hand went unconsciously to her belly. She caressed it even as she stifled a sob. Her mother had warned her repeatedly against Roberto but she would not listen. Roberto loved her... and he did, until the baby. Now she could not go back. Neither Roberto nor her mother would welcome her now.

She froze when she caught sight of a glittering thread from the roof. Her brows furrowed as she saw it descend on a sleeping pregnant woman. She gasped silently as she saw the thing enter the woman's belly. The woman started thrashing about but remained asleep. Aimee remained quiet even as she saw blood stain the woman's blouse.

The Agency

Kundiman frowned even as she stared at the clock. Five minutes to five in the afternoon. It was usually the time for all of them to clock out but today was one of those happy, glorious days that they were given their salary. Sadly, the agency was a little old fashioned and so they gave out the money manually. Money didn't go directly from the agency to their bank accounts; it would go from the agency's boss to the secretary then to them. That would not have been a problem... if the boss gave out their salaries on time. The boss, who they never saw had a very cruel streak to him and Kundiman never felt it as much as she did now.

It was her weekend off and today being friday, she can't wait to get her hands on her money so she could go very, very, far away from all these people and be beautiful again. She could almost smell the beach and the coconuts and all those gloriously oiled and tanned bodies. She planned the get away for almost a month now and nothing would stand between her and new shoes, the beach and the spa.

She checked her reflection on the mirror on top of her computer monitor. She had a mirror on every available surface of her office table. She gave herself a kiss and a wink before standing up, having decided to harass the secretary again. She marched towards the end of the hallway, her black Manolos clicking with every step. She wore a white polo that was encased in a black corset like vest. The white blouse was open to show a little of her cleavage and several necklaces framed it more. Her black skirt hugged her hips like nothing else and showcased her legs beautifully.

"It's hopeless you know," a bored voice came out from behind a table partition.

"Shut up Ballog. You're just jealous because I happen to have the weekend off."

"Nothing more fun than being burned to a crisp in the beach."

Kundiman narrowed her eyes at Sara. "Having a tan is always nice you know, I promise to bring you back nothing if you'd be like that--" she cut herself off when the unmistakable sound of a bell tinkling came. There was a bell attached to the door of the boss and it signaled the secretary’s exit.

"That's the go signal!" she giggled before walking around to the secretary excitedly.

"Give me love, Markie baby," she smiled as she extended a hand for her salary.

"No go, sweetheart, the boss told me to withhold your salary until this mission is over."

Kundiman took a second to understand the man. She then turned around and faced the group. "Seth, get your lazy ass up and finish the report on that stupid vampire already so I can have my vacation!" she called out.

"Why me? I already finished my report!"

"Why you? Because you're lazy that's why." She turned to the secretary again. "He says he passed in already, now give!"

"I'm really sorry baby but I wasn’t talking about that mission, you've a new one, there's been a suspicious death in St. Anthony's Shelter--"

"I'm on it!" called out a voice behind another desk. I'll see what files I can dig up." Ri said pleasantly.

"You can't do this!" Kundiman cried. "I already reserved everything!"

"Want me to hack in and move the reservation?" Ri asked more pleasantly.

"I hate this job!" She hissed even as she took the folders given by the secretary. She went towards the group and handed them a folder each. “I just know that this is somehow illegal. Can he really withhold our salaries?” she mumbled to herself angrily. “I should have just become a kindergarten teacher like my parents wanted.”

The telephone rang and Kundiman picked it up answering with a smile on her face. “Hello, good afternoon, Vall Singan’s Dry Cleaning.” She said cheerfully.

“It’s me. I found a witness. Her name is Amelia Capagal. She’s currently staying in the St. Theresa's Shelter for teenage mothers. I’ll be guarding her tonight. Better be ready to move in tomorrow.”

“Sure you’ll get your gold Tina Turner wanna be dress by tomorrow morning. Of course, it’s promised to be ready before noon at the latest, you don’t need to worry.”

“Just be here.” The voice hang up.

“You’re welcome. Thank you for choosing Vall Singan’s Dry Cleaning, we clean out even the dirtiest of stains.” She looked at the group. “There’s a pregnant witness. We’ve to go undercover. I will not be the nun, nobody’d believe me."
