"Well, are those all of the contestants? Wraith-sama, Drake-sama, Evelynn-sama, and Bass-sama? Is that all?"

The thundering voice boomed from overhead as Guy ran through the complex, convoluted halls of the Pandemonium Fortress. How was he supposed to know the bathrooms were so far away from the arena? Nevertheless, a true warrior like Guy would never be defeated by the runs, nor another in combat. With this thought in his blazing heart of passionate passion, the young man dashed through yet another grey hallway and burst into the large ring.

Guy was greeted with the sights and sounds of jeering combat fans, screaming at the top of their lungs while guzzling refreshments and lukewarm dogs. The announcer, who clearly had an anime fetish, bellowed out the warrior's introduction.

"Wow, folks! It looks like we've got an almost-late contestant! Introducing Guy Lacroix-sama, the Unforgiving Cross!" The announcing voice said, tinged with enthusiasm.

"Wait, wait, wait! Announcer! No one told me this was like a J-Fighting Game! Hold on, let me rectify this," Guy said, fumbling with his weapon. Gripping the hilt in one hand, he lurched the massive sword over his right shoulder, holding the flat of the blade against his neck.

"Let's settle this," Guy said to no one in particular, trying desperately to look cool with his arrogant pose.
