Jade noticed only moments too late that there was some sort of light mounted under the gun. As he flicked it on, she turned away, but not before the light caught her eyes, and instantly she was nearly blinded... it would heal, she knew, but for the moment she could barely even make out where the ground was. Luckily her hearing was still fine, and she heard him go into a run. As his weight hit her, she tried to grab a hold of him, but with the sai already gripped in her hands, he got away. She fell hard, barely managing to go into a roll, ending up crouched, and still could barely see.
She heard a shot, and within seconds a burning sensation covered her face, and burned down her throat. She hissed in pain and anger, but also in an attempt to clear the garlic from her lungs. Her mind was racing now; he might let her go, but could she risk it? She was almost blind, though, and if she didn't get out of here soon, she'd be dead anyway from the garlic. She also knew she'd be weakened, wouldn't be able to move as fast now... Dammit! How'd I let this happen? My bike... where's my bike... she considered where she'd been before the attack, and decided it must only be a few yards away. She wouldn't be able to escape on it, but maybe it would give her cover from that gun for long enough...
Using most of the strength she had left, she threw both of her sai in the direction his voice had come from, then bolted for the bike as fast as she could, hoping she could avoid any bullets, and then righted it, hiding behind it. The burning on her face was getting worse, and she didn't expect to actually hit him, but rather distract him. As she hid behind the bike, she hissed at him, slowly rolling the bike sideways, hoping to make it out of the garlic mist. "And why should I trust you, slayer?"
